even though i dont train lowers, i can tell you from uppers, your probably better off learning longer combos, i skipped learning basic face tricks like nose/chin/eye stalls and now all i can do is mainly rprolls/aprolls/prolls/ect. i havent learned sidehead-sidehead that well cause i struggle with my right side cause of injury

so try learning longer easier things will pay off with better style in the end, go easy/long, then go hard/short if that makes sense
sorry if im wrong im just tryin to help :p
BONER!

don't learn tricks like this yet pe!
Train combos, combos and combos first!
Ahtatw takes a lot of power to start with mate
I hate to ruin it for you Tom, but do you remember the Eclipse?

lower longer combos require much more energy and stamina. so that dont really qualify as easy :)

long combos aren't boring - they are just not that easy - it's not like learning one trick

for ahtatw you need good weak foot atatw (very high one) - you want to do ahtatw on you strong foot (that is if you are righty - going froleft to right)

i guess htatw would improve the movement so i guess it would be a lil bit easier
but for me ahtatw with strong leg is easier
