Him going to Man U would be very stupid. Not only are they overloaded with strikers, but two of them play very similar to him. He needs to go to Madrid where they really need a new forward.

this is true madrid have an aging front line

Haha, I remember that one.

Check this out: Donovan is one a 10 day trial at Bayern. They are saying it's just for him to stay fit, but we all know that's not true.

Here is a video of the latest Bayern training session. You can see Donovan training with them. Luca Toni and Ribery seem to always have a bit of their own fun at practice as well:

- Toni's finishing in practice looks too easy!
- It's amazing how many times Ribery touches the ball during their little scrimmage.
- You can tell Donovan is a bit nervous and uncomfortable.

Podolski has put in a transfer request. Looks like he'll be in Man City, Tottenham or Cologne this January.

old article, but good info

Quote
"Every player here, from No. 1 to No. 22, is a better player," Donovan, the five-time U.S. player of the year, said. "American teams have only one or two really good players.

"I believe I can keep up with the other players, even if I'm not the best player here."

Quote
"He has only been here for two days and so I cannot say too much, but what I have seen has been OK," Hoeness said. "He can certainly kick the ball."

Quote
"He's the really exceptional player in North America, including Mexico," Klinsmann said. "Landon knows that Europe is where it is at in football, and he has all the qualities to break through in Europe."

http://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/la-spw-donovan14-2008nov14,0,4176044.story

something else i found interesting:

Quote
If he does move to Germany, Donovan, dubbed "Beckham's buddy" by Bild, will find he has to tread his way as skillfully through the media minefield as he does through opposing Bundesliga defenses.

i do not forsee this turning out well.  landon has proved that he does not like to take shit from the media
