Henry was on Sky Sports with Wenger and he was talking about "Oh i'm staying here, blah blah blah". And yeah it was a 7 year deal that he signed.

Perhaps United wants Kaka instead :booty:

United want Anelka, Berbatov, a new left-back and right back, and a new goalkeeper to replace Edwin when he's gone.

That would be a major signing for Chelsea, would definetely help them out with all these injuries. Imagine Drogba and Anelka coming at you..

MEGSON: NO ANELKA BID

Bolton manager Gary Megson insists there has been no approach from Chelsea for Nicolas Anelka.

French newspaper L'equipe attributed quotes to the 11-goal striker in which it was claimed dialogue between the two clubs had begun with the opening of the January transfer window.

Megson, speaking after his side's late 1-0 victory against Derby, said: "In terms of Chelsea making contact I am not aware of that, or any other club making contact.

"I am aware of the speculation and have seen the article. But Nic did say if nothing happens he is happy at Bolton.

"It is something and nothing. We will just keep going and try to deal with the speculation that surrounds him."

But Anelka told L'Equipe: "The chairmen (of Bolton and Chelsea) are discussing it. I really hope it happens - and especially that I am eligible to play in the Champions League.

"But until the contract is signed and I am presented to the press in my new shirt, nothing is done."

The former Arsenal striker has also been linked with a return to Manchester City where he played from 2002 to 2005.

And the 28-year-old insists that would not be a step backwards.

"I want to go to a bigger club and that's what City have become under a manager such as (Sven-Goran) Eriksson, who I was ready to join in 1999 at Lazio," added Anelka.

"Staying at Bolton, where I am very happy, wouldn't be a punishment either."

Bolton are expected to ask for 26 million euros for Anelka - 14 more than they paid Fenerbahce for him in August 2006.

And agent Doug Pingisi is sure the in-form frontman is destined to leave sooner rather than later.

"Nico is ready to join a club at the height of his talent and his football," he said.

"I would love to see him sing the Champions League anthem every year."

Deco to Premier League?

Quote from: Sky Sports
Barcelona star Deco has hinted that he would be interested in a move to England if he leaves Camp Nou.

The classy midfielder has indicated he could leave Barca at the end of the season if they fail to enjoy a successful campaign.

Deco has struggled for form and fitness this term and he is believed to be considering his future at Barca.

The Portuguese international has revealed he would like to try his luck in England and he believes Manchester United would be an ideal destination if he does leave Barcelona.

Warning
"If we don't win anything this year I will be off," Deco is quoted as saying in The News of the World.

"Playing for Barcelona is a dream that I have realised.

"This is my fourth season and has been a fantastic period in my career but if things don't go well I will be leaving.

"The English league is somewhere I'd like to play.

"You can compare Manchester United to Barcelona."

I think Anderson is just as good as him..

    * Player: David Villa
    * From: Valencia
    * To: Chelsea
    * Cost: £20 million
    * Source: Mirror
    * Likely?: 3/5

"Rumours linking David Villa with a move to England are all too predictable. Valencia are leering from one crisis to another with new boss Ronald Koeman having little obvious idea as to what to do apart from sacking some of the club’s most experienced players so it is a good time for Villa to look elsewhere. Indeed, he is quoted as saying that “it is impossible for me to carry on.”
In previous seasons he would have been linked with Liverpool where Rafael Benitez’s admiration for the player dated from when Villa was still at Real Zaragoza. Valencia’s transfer demands, and the presence of Fernando Torres, have killed off any hopes that there might have been for that particular transfer.
This puts Chelsea in pole position to get him. Their lack of depth in attack has long been suspected and with the injury to Didier Drogba this has been exposed. Even though Andrii Shevchenko seems to be getting back to something resembling his best form, Chelsea need another top quality striker to boost their hopes.
Yet whereas Villa has already made his desire to move to England public, the link to Chelsea appears purely speculative. Their need for a striker is immediate but Villa is unlikely to move in January and, even if he did, he would be cup-tied in the Champions League. So, attractive as the move might be, the rumour doesn’t carry too much weight".

The only way i think david villa will get in, is if Shevchenko leaves chelsea or doesnt get a first team spot, or even Kalou.

20 million for Villa is a bargain.

Bolton won't sell Berbatov for anything less than 30 million pounds! :lol:
