Any tips on how to fix this? (filming video games)
« on: Oct 24, 2008, 01:56: PM »

Anyone know how to get rid of the annoying scrolling black bars on the screen?

I already tried messing with the zoom, contrast, etc.  I can see the bars as I'm filming so its something with my camera or tv, not the computer.

Anything I can do besides buying a better camera?

sorry no. buy a better camera is your only option. i believe its to do with the frame rate of the tv and the camera or something. im not 100% though, you could do some more research into it.

to film ur video games there are programmes that will film it straight off the computer without needing a camera in the first place

Nah this is mario kart on wii, so the only thing is a vid cam. I think that happens no matter how good the camera is, summin to do with the static or electricity why it does that,  not the quality of the cam I think. Maybe if you put the cam further away and zoom in? Dunno if that will work.

But that was very good by the way anyway, you're no noob.
