Diego Maradona labelled the rules for FIFA’s World Player of the Year vote as ‘stupid’ on Friday after he was banned from choosing Lionel Messi.“I had to choose somebody else, knowing that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world,” the Argentina coach said, adding that he had voted for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo instead. Maradona said the rules banned coaches from voting for players from their own country.“Whoever thought that up is stupid,” he said. “It’s incredible, I voted for Ronaldo when I wanted to vote for Messi but I couldn't.”
how many other voters were forced to vote for the fag

Dunga probably would have voted for kaka, but couldn't. my personal opinion is the personal award of best player in the world or continent should be done away with. i still haven't seen one player who out and out deserved the award above any other player in my life time. we should just let each respective league and competition maybe pick players of the year or competition, and no awards like this.
