this is kind of a silly statement. rapping is a simple enough of an idea that yes it was around long before anyone really considered it or knew it was rapping. rapping is basically saying rhyming lines in a spoken voice normally to a beat, so i could see how this was invented as soon as language was invented. its also a muscial form that could easily have been produced by the lower classes of ancient times that did not get musical training since the only thing they needed to do is have their own voice.
