My old coach always layed with the striker goalsucking (no offsides in 5-a-side) and giving lanes to the midfields. It didnt work, so dont do it. Every player should be playing offence and defence, and you want 5 behind the ball on defence most of the time.

TF pretty much summed it up. Attack together and defend together.

yeah they are all right.

when attacking have two players in the centre just incase you guys lose the ball and they can even take some shots from distance.

Me and my mates are pro 5-a-siders, tbh.
We usually have 1 or 2 goalhanging (1, if they're good) go no further into defence than the halfway line, a lot of quick passing to create a space/opportunity for the goalhangers to shoot.  Apart from that the other players defend and attack, and just stay tight and prevent them from even getting an angle to shoot from.

in five-a-side games, players often shoot from near half. If you only have 3 players to defend a shot threat and a penetration threat, ou're playing a very risky game.

I said usually 1 staying up, sometimes 2, but taking into consideration the size of pitch, its easy to get back, so I wouldn't say so. Also, managing to shoot from the halfway line, with 3 players in the way, and a goodkeeper, pretty hard.

play a tight diamond and dont worry about the wings as long as they dont screw u over with diagonal balls. and dont be afraid to crack one from their half onwards

me and some of me friends play indoor, undeafted so far and only lost 3times last year
