Hello everyone.
I keep reading comments saying the video is not available in your country, and then begging the uploader to upload it on to vimeo or giving a download link.
Here's what you can do, without having to change your proxy which most people don't know how it really works.
Method 1:Plugin for Firefox or Chrome
This plugin will automatically make the video available on YouTube once you get the message "Sorry. This video is not available in your country". Quality is not the best but this is the easiest method, I just clicked on "download" and it was installed literally 1 second after.
Download for Firefox:https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/stealthy/Download for Chrome:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cnmbofoofebojccpdnfhnegmiifdgpfg(I can only assure you it works with Chrome, I haven't tried it with Firefox)
Method 2:Download the video using this site:
http://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/Quality is perfect, however it takes a little more time, especially if the initial video file is like 100MB big.
(Note: make sure the site is fully loaded before you press the "continue arrow", otherwise it might not take you to the next step)
Method 3: (thanks Max)
For this method all you need to do is "[...] type ''ss'' before youtube and then press enter. you will be directed to a download site where you can download the video in HD or in normal quality."
Example instead of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgSFlYAkI0wPut:
http://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=AgSFlYAkI0wYou can now chose in which format you want to download the video.
At least
one method
should work for everyone.
P.S. You can try it out with this video here:
