FCUK! thats a SSHHITT problem, Vegas seems to be a dick these days..
you might need to get some other video editing software like Pinnacle even tho it sucks

I fixed the problem.. i got Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 instead of the 7. The 7 don't accept the m2ts files, 9 does :)

final cut or premier pro will accept pretty much everything.

but of course those problems aren't even an issue if u have firewire and capture directly to the program.  camera manufacturers are f uckin retarded these days relying solely on usb...

Always MAKE SURE if the clips work together with the editing program you want to use, then buy a camera... Good for you that you've solved it

I knew that the clips worked with Vegas, but I had the old vegas(7), and that doesn't accept the clips.. But the newer versions of Vegas does. I thought every Vegas was like the same, but know that i have Vegas 9, I see some cool new things.

I think it might come down to a compatablity issue with the camera and software.  Being a newer version of Vegas the camera might only be picked up by it and not older versions because the file type thats written on the camera might not be picked up by older versions of Vegas.
