be creative and things like this should come naturally, u cant teach someone to be able to know what move to do and when

just try to replicate what its like when u get beat and how they beat you and replicate that/those moves against opponent
"Aim to master the particular movement, whatever it may be, by refining and refining until no one but yourself can tell the difference between a movement you are satisfied with and one you know to be imperfect."

step overs are a strickers best friend they can really beat defenders and make you look good,

try this,

when you see an open gap and you know the defender also know there is a gap, pretend your going through and just as the defender is coming to you stepover to that side and push the ball the other side always works for me.

you have to know what defenders think.

i played in defence for about a year so i know how they think and i use that agaist them

the most important thing is to play simple. try to think fast and play for your team not yourself. to help your individual skills for in gamer i would recommend trying things like playing volleys off the wall with one touch. try to aim for the same spot on the wall. also work on ground moves.

if you want to beat a defender it's really simple.

firstly, run into space and towards dangerous areas, not straight into players or to useless areas.

watch how the defender is taking his steps.  if u can catch him leaning his weight on one foot u can go that way and leave him flat footed.  also, seeing which direction the defender is running you can change directions accordingly and leave him chasing shadows.  u can also watch for the panna too this way.

and change of pace and change of direction is usually the most important to beat a defender.  watch maradona's goal vs. england in 1986 for a PRIME example of this.  he didn't do any stepovers, elasticos, rainbows, or any other fancy shit.  he was constantly switching is direction and speed and ran through an entire defence.  watch it carefully and watch other videos of him and pele and others and study them carefully.
