I got huge knee problem from Freestyle, i dont really know if it come from lower but i think so, so i freestyle with no lower since two year. My advice would be to stretch your knee all the time, before and after you freestyle.

For some reason on my left knee, i cant do any amatw's on it. As soon as i go to do the crossover, it sort of buckles and im in agony, which puts a stop to my training :/

And i dont have any idea on how to fix it, weak tatw is fine, its just the damn amatw :/

ive injured both my knees pretty seriously, the BEST advice is stretch like a mofo, 10-20 minutes, it may seem gay but itll save you in the long run, it put me out till next february on lowers :(

I started freestyle because  knee injuries prevented me from running. But now i realize that the knees take just as bad a beating doing freestyle everyday. I would suggest stretching and warming up with some easy lowers before doing anything with a heavy jump or impact.
Good luck.

Where's oLi when you need him to yell at all of you for stupidly thinking that stretching and warming up is worth a damn?
