US was pure crap. They couldn't even string 5 passes together. I think Adu should start as well. He brought some skill and life to the game.

the bad:

i didn't like how we approached this game.  i don't know why josh wolff played.  in previous years, i think he would have been, and was, an asset in these types of games, but i don't see how his play this year at 1860 would warrant a call-up.  at least we, hopefully, have learned that he won't do us much good at this level right now.  i would have liked to have seen:

johnson
adu
dmb clark bradley dempsey

but whatever.  i wasn't, however, expecting us to possess the ball well.  you will almost never see us possess the ball more than our opponents.  i was more "concerned" with how we looked going forward.  at some point, i was kind of hoping that we'd just start trying to play eddie johnson in over the top.

the good:

rooney and defoe didn't get turned to run at onyewu and bocanegra too often.  that would have been a fucking nightmare and a red card waiting to happen.
