Well this is a long story. Back in the days I was freestyling alone, never even having a conversation with any freestylers (except in bf). In 2009 I released my first freestyle video ever "tHe StOrY bEgInS", it was in July and in August I received a mail from him. He was freestyling then already and what's most important, he was Estonian. I had never ever spoken to Estonian freestyler before - there weren't any at that time. Even though he lived in Finland Helsinki, it was awesome to have a "homie". Yes I had friends in my hometown as well, but they didn't give a damn about freestyle and always when I did something new and told them about it, I had to explain every detail, but with Mathias, it was a lot easier, we both were freestylers and had the same passion. So we started talking a lot, giving eachother challenges etc. In 2010 we had a freestyle meeting in Tallinn, that was the time we met for the first time.  A half a year later me and another Estonian freestyler Sander, went to Finnish Winter Freestyle meeting, we were allowed to stay at Mathias place. We met he's mother, father and younger brother, also 3 dogs which belonged to he's mother. They were really nice people, Mathias mother even made us breakfast etc. In Finland I told Mathias that I have done 127 ATWs and he was the one who told me that: "Man, that should be a world record!!" He did a little research and found out that it was. So I came home, spended few days and did 117 on video. Last year Mathias was the guy I talked about going to Prague, he told me that he is already going and that's why I started booking my stuff, without him I wouldn't have been there. He helpeb me with booking the flights etc. - again thanks to him!

If I'm correct, than he's mother is a lecturer in the same university I study, but I don't know what does he's father do. In December when I had a first conversation with he's mother, things looked bad, she suffered a lot. Now I think things haven't changed much, but the family is stronger then ever, that's for sure. Things haven't changed because there's no information about him. There's no evidence that he's alive or dead and I would say that this is the worst thing ever can happen.

Thank you for sharing, pallur.  Nice to hear the personal side of the whole story.  As you said, the worst part of this is not knowing whether he's alive or dead.  The family can't rest until they find out what really happened.

He was found dead.  RIP.

According to the police, there is no reason to suspect a crime.

Most likely, the body has been in the sea floor, says Salonen.

As I suspected, I figured he somehow drowned or ended up in the water somehow.  I keep hearing of stories where drunk people fall into rivers or go into lakes and then never come out.
