Barcelona's 3-4-3 Formation

Barcelona has been playing a 3-4-3 formation over the past few games.

What you think about that?  It gives them an extra man in midfield to dominate position and create more opportunities, but it leaves them exposed in the back.

If they think they can use this against top teams in Europe, I think they'll fail.  I think this is a good tactic for home games against most teams, but it's not something to use against good teams who can hit you on the counter or those who can play close to an even game with you.

Anyways, I think it's risky.  It's cool to see the inovation, but this could be their undoing.  I don't think anyone can beat Barcelona over the next 3 years, but they can certainly beat themselves.

I thought they play 4-3-3 tactics

They did until this season.  They've been playing a 3-4-3 over the last 2-3 games and they seem to think it's a permanent thing.  Probably permanent for average teams, not top opponents who know how to break it down.

They revolutionized the 4-3-3 system, maybe the can do the same with 3-4-3.  I think their goal is to play total football.

Anyways, they won't stick to it (they've already switched), as it was put into action because of the of defenders due to injury.

P.S. This is the old Ajay formation that they played in the 80's I think, we played basically the same thing in the club I was playing for. It's not a classical 3-4-3, but something of a hybrid between 3-4-3 and 4-3-3/4-5-1.

the interchanging of positions is done efficiently and consistently. But not every team can do this because the technical skills of barca players allow them to use these tactics.

The barca midfielders cover the defenders when they push up to mark a player but villareal midfielders just stand and watch. Like @ 4:55 mins. Someone should have run with alexis. One guy even stood there and called for offside even though he was 4 yards onside Also, the villareal defenders should not push up individually like that. All 4 defenders should push up together.

IT is known as a attacking formation.It is a advantage for the team playing the "Tika Taka"style.But it is risky too
