well i think it is the whole system of operation at barca which gives them success. That perfect blend of superstars and youth team products. But i have to give guardiola credit as well because when he decided to bring back pique from manutd i was confused but he proved me wrong because pique has been awesome.

Also, when he decided to give messi a more central role i was double confused because i thought messi would be too lightweight for it. But he proved me double wrong because messi has been unstoppable in the center.

Also i remember that barca team in 2005 and 2006 dominating with ronaldinho and with Frank Rjikaard as coach so i do not think guardiola is the main reason. But credit where credit is due, the decision to put messi in the center was genious
