i think if andy Carroll is woth 35 mil... and torres is worth 50... then id say rooney is worth even more, 60 or 70... that might sound crazy but think about it,
last season rooney proved he can score with the same consistency as torres, but even when he's not scoring he creates soooooo much up front, i remember in a couple of uniteds big wins this season, rooney didnt score, however he was involved in the buildup of most of the goals.
plus the work he does for the team is unbelievable, even when he has an off day up front, he still tracks back and helps out the defense... i remember recently, i think it was against blackpool, Rafael was attacking and blackpool broke down the wing, rooney was right back there doing rafaels job and managed to clear it for a corner (it was a corner that they scored their first goal from haha but thats hardly rooneys fault)
that kind of energy and desire to get back and help your team isnt something you'd get from a lot of forwards, i doubt torres would ever be back doing many defensive duties, yet he's valued at 50 million... so in my opinion, rooney is worth much more... well i know who i'd rather fork out 50 or more million pounds for anyway.
