Freestyle Chat / Re: IMPORTANT - Summer Meeting 2011
« on: Mar 02, 2011, 09:10: PM »
I'm very up for coming regardless of where it'll be. I wasn't in Amsterdam last year and neither the year before that. However, I do think that the people who went both years kind of "deserve" to go to a new place, if they want to. By deserve I mean that they've been loyal to freestyle by attending the meets and thus making the experience more enjoyable. But that's just my view on the case, I'll try to go regardless.

It sounds cool, and I'd do it, but I think it's gonna be hard to fill in some interresting news often. That might just be me though.

General Chat / Re: Your top 5 games EVER
« on: Jan 19, 2011, 10:35: PM »
Damn, you've mentioned so many good games. I've heard so much good stuff about goldeneye, zelda and all the other games.

The only one I can think of are:

1. Flåklypa (A fucking legendary Norwegian game)
2. Need for Speed Most wanted
3. Call of Duty (2, 4 and Black Ops are the best)
4. Fifa series
5. Sly series.

Does any one of you play black ops on xbox?

you want honest....

I saw you posted on a video a few months ago that 'the video was great but it missed one thing..girls'. And i believe azun responded with an argument i entirely agree with. Why should you girls get more respect for achieving quite mediocre combos just because you are girls?

I think Indi and Kitti have proven that there is no reason girls can't accomplish very promising improvements...altatw, and tatw amatw nt combos. Therefore I believe if you train just as hard and productively as a fast improving male freestyler I don't see why the results cant be the same! if you don't agree, care to explain why? I am curious as to whether there is any reason a girl cant be as good, of course there is a strength element but the more you train the stronger you become so surely you will gain the muscles required?

It seems like you have changed your mentality now though :)
I totally agree. However, men have different muscles than girls, which is probably why men are better suited for sports than women. It is nevertheless no reason to give girls extra credits because they have tits and pussy.

Khoa is very correct. When you get older, there are less time for everything. School takes more time, you gotta pay attention to friends and possibly girlfriend(s), so it's kind of neccesary to stick with one hobby. I don't know bout anyone who has more than one hobby, school and friends, that didn't get exhausted. At some point in your life, you gotta prioritize what's more important for you, soccer, or freestyle.

Freestyle Chat / Re: Is "voting-topics" ok?
« on: Jan 16, 2011, 10:36: PM »
I find it ironic that you ask us to vote on if voting topics piss us off :lol_hitting:
If it pissed me off, would I vote? Probably not. If I didn't give a fuck, I'd probably vote. Do you see what I'm getting at?
That's true indeed, but if it pisses you off, this is an opportunity to bitch about it. :P

Who inspired you to start? Azun, you probably know who he is.
How did you find them? (youtube, friends, internet, t.v add, etc.) I found him on a Norwegian freestyle forum, which is no longer active. It was called fotballtriks.no, then I found some videos of him on youtube.
How did they inspire you? (what captured your attention?) After I found him on fotballtriks, I saw him post on a forum called freestyle-soccer I believe, and then I kind of realized how good he was. The fact that he was Norwegian made me somewhat proud of being Norwegian myself, so that was a big thing for me. I think that the combination of him being Norwegian, and really good, made me want to start myself. I always enjoyed the technical part of football the most, so I thought freestyle would be nice for me.
What was your mindset when you first started? (where did you plan on going with it? any ambitions? goals?) I didn't have any ambitions when I first started, I just wanted to get into the freestyle community and get to know famous freestylers.
Before freestyle what did you do to occupy your time? (could be anything from playing games to kicking a can.) I played soccer, but I wasn't too good. I was and still am, very into music.
What do you do for living? (ex: high school student, works at walmart, occasional live performances) - I need everything I'm a high school student, I don't have any jobs although I'll start to work next month.
Do you ever feel "tension" from other rising fsers? (do you compare yourself to others? if yes, on what level?) I did before, but not anymore. I kind of felt pressure to improve likewise as other freestylers, but as I got less time, I stopped doing that. I think I realized that I couldn't improve as rapidely as they did, when I had such little time. It never really bothered me much, but it was definitely an issue of concern for me.
How often do you train? (per day/week?) Nowadays, I hardly train. Maybe 1-2 times per week. Usually for 3 hours.
How do you train? (music, friends, alone, in a certain climate, certain place, at home, or far away - be specific about the location and the way you train (how much time do you spend texting/finding a song/resting?) I train with Krogseter, and now that it's winter and alot of snow, we try to find indoor places. We've trained on the local school, in the corridor. At summer I practice at parking lots, basketball fields and school areas. I try to stick to areas where there are few, or no people. It makes me more concentrated. We usually listen to music, but we don't have too much focus on that particular aspect. It's just something to make the experience a bit more enjoyable. Whenever I'm with him or others, one of us practices whilst the others watch. We rotate and it's maybe 5 minutes per person. Nothing "strict" though, we just try for combos/tricks whenever we feel for it.

To me, freestyle is mostly an opportunity to get away from the daily life. It pulls my attention away from issues I may have on my mind. It is also something that I feel I can measure myself upon. If I have success in freestyle, I feel like a successfull person. Furthermore, freestyle is also the opportunity to get foreign friends, and to extend my social circle.

Hope it helps, I'd like to know the results you get. Also, would you change the topic name to get more replies? I think this is very interresting, and it's a great way to go more in depth on freestyle.

I have won competitions from freestylers votes on here so obviously I am in favour of it. I think its sweet! And who gives a fuck if it 'spams' the forum? thousands of quality posts > couple of vote for me threads. What I find annoying is the clip automatically playing everytime I come on here, I dont even know who that is talking.
Fixed. :)

Alright, I think this thread needs a refreshment. Do you think you'll be able to update me on the records? I'll update the first post so that it's relevant. Thanks!
