do the majority think like this?
-
Never really talked to anyone like that.
-
Shocking.

the americans hve no idea wt is it like in middle east nor they know anything about islam,,,,,why do these 2 names r always linked 2 terorist ??
if in iraq war maybe only 50 or maybe less americans died and (as i heared)70000 iraqis died who would be the real terorist :dontknow:?????
and to answer L_I_S question (yes the majority do) do u know tht more thn 60% of americans ddnt even leave their country(sorry 4 mistake)!!!!!!!!!!!
-
do u know tht more thn 60% of americans ddnt even leave their home town!!!!!!!!!!!
that may have been true 100 years ago, but now, all it takes is an hour of driving, and bye bye hometown  So not true.
Also, who are you to be such an expert regarding the american people?
-
well the video of these people is definitely embarrassing, but you could do this anywhere in the world and get just as stupid answers. there were probably just as many if not more people that they surveyed that never made it to the final show, because they actually answered the questions intelligently. also the way they asked questions in multiple choice format made some of the people answer certain ways even though there weren't really any correct answers. i admit there are alot of really stupid people in america lookign at how we re-elected bush and almost elected mccain, but on the whole the country isn't that bad.

that 60% of the population is for people that do not have passports or haven't left the country, not their home town. do you realize how hard it would be to not leave your hometown?

sorry wrong typing mistake and i hve some relatives in america thts why i know a bit bout them
-
i live in the south of this country, and as you have seen in the past election it was all red.
i know people from my town who have said things like (and i quote) about obama:
"Barack Hussain Obama. Does that even sound American!?"
"i'm praying for this country. now this country is going into the shitter"
"change is good if we want to be socialists!"
"the south will rise again"
but right, a lot of people don't have much of a clue as to what's going on in the world. very narrow minded, conservative peices of shit. not to say there aren't narrow minded liberal peices of shit. but seriously, i'm very embarrassed sometimes to be part of the south. it's terrible living around people that don't educate themselves properly about issues, and go against something because thier name ins't American enough.
-
Lol, you won't find dumbfucks like that in the North.
-
There are people like that in every country. It's a little pathetic if people begin to generalize americans like this. Just like if I were to sterotype people of other countries. And ajs I don't know where you got that stat, but it's wrong. And for those who don't it's called living in a rural town. There are people like that in other countries. Not to mention our country is big compared to a lot of others, meaning more people are isolated with further distances to other towns. And for you (ajs) to say the majority do think like that because you know a few americans is stupid. I know a few people from other countries, so does everyone there think like them??? Fuck no. And mikael, there are dumbfucks everywhere, including the north.
-
Yeah there is stupid ppl everywhere, just America has the most.
-
L too the o back to the l again

i agree, but mccain's policies were too similar to those of bush who got the country into the mess its in right now. palin was far worse than mccain, and had a good chance of becoming president if mccain was elected, because of mccains health.
mccain isn't that bad. he wasn't the problem... palin was.

I agree with you, go anywhere in the world, put stupid answers to the question, and you'll be shocked to hear and see what kind of people like in your country, Yes, some people in the USA are pretty dumb, but i bet there was some intelligently answers to some of the questions this video potrait, The media shows you want the want you to hear, everything else you won't watch

On the passport issue i believe the figures are around 23-27% of Americans have passports but how many use them is less clear, but it isn't that surprising when you consider that really USA has most things people want to do, the only reason to leave would mainly be to see different cultures and lifestyles which maybe most Americans aren't interested in.

i would imagine close to 100%. getting a passport isn't something that you can do down the street at a convenience store.
however, you can leave the united states (sometimes) without a passport.
i could go down the street and learn about a different culture.
the americans hve no idea wt is it like in middle east nor they know anything about islam,,,,,why do these 2 names r always linked 2 terorist ??
don't look too far into it.

Ok maybe my estimate was a little low so i went to the unite states gov website, went here http://travel.state.gov/passport/services/stats/stats_890.html (http://travel.state.gov/passport/services/stats/stats_890.html) looked at the passports issued, now i think im right when i say passports are valid in the U.S for 10 years, so i added up all the numbers for passports issued, took that number as the amount of passports currently in circulation and made it a percentage of the american population and it came out as 35.2% of the population have passports.
-
i bolded the wrong sentence. i was referring to this:
but how many use them is less clear
-
well do they? is there that many racists and small minded ppl in america?

Racist? How so? Were you being racist when you said they're most likely to drop out?
However, I hughly doubt it's true. I'm sure that a GREAT majority of Americans can locate the U.S. on the map.

Here it says it's 37%. That's hard to believe, honestly. It means that about 100 million people in this country don't know where they live? It also means that every third person you talk to will not know it.
Doubt it.
