I expect an even match.
Don't let Germany's performance in the group stage fool you, you can never write the germans off. I expect them to raise their game a bit, something they normally do in the latter stages.

Anyways, Portugal would want some revenge against the Germans from the previous World Cup. Portugal have been looking strong, it's a pity Scolari had to split them up a bit. Deco has been playing good and has been setting up his younger teammates which is great.
I strongly think Ronaldo has too much confidence now.. with the whole Real Madrid transfer. It seems he is delaying this more and more to gain more attention, but maybe he's just waiting til after the cup, but still. If he can play a relaxed and smart game, he can score against Germany. :)

Sounds like the Germans are extra pissed after their manager got suspended for the quarter final game. I really believe the decision to suspend the coaches further is one of the worst in the past few years.
FIFA needs to get their shit together, especially Platini. Homo! :angry:
Frings and Podolski are game time decisions but it looks like they'll play. :bowdown:

What golo said was spot on. I think the Germans will win, i dont think they will play their best but i think they will win.
I think there is too much going on in the portugese camp with ronaldo and scolari.

Well, I told you. Like Italy, Germany did what Germany does, now they'll probably go all the way to the final.
Ballack's goal should have been disallowed. There clearly was a shove on Fereira just as he was going to jump.

Well done Germany, i think we all knew they would win anyway because well they are Germany and major competitions are their thang.
This was an awesome quarter final, started off with a good pace and any team could of scored and Germany just dominated and scored 2 goals in like 4 minutes, was mad! The first goal was brilliant team play, the second goal was poor poor defending, and i think this is why portugal are out.
Anyway after these 2 goals i didnt think Portugal had it in them to comeback as strong as they did, Euros quarter final 2-0 down to Germany in the first half, not a good sign lol.
All credit to Portugal they made a match of it, the right back played really well (forgot his name) he had so much energy down the wing, i like forward to seeing him in the prem this season. Deco did great to create the first portugese goal.
Second half didnt dissapoint and i was really rooting for portugal, my sister had a massive strop and tried to put heroes on and switched the tv off and stormed out of the room and i nearly missed the 3rd german goal lol.
It was again poor defending a slight push from Ballack but what can you do? I was pretty pissed at this point because i thought the game would be dead and burried, but portugal came back again and kept attacking.
Nani came on and he was on fire within like a minute on the pitch he took it past like 4 players was awesome! He did great work to setup Postiga for that 2nd goal, lovely goal, lovely header.
Germany did well under the last attacks from portugal and won the game!
I really enjoyed this game, few things fucked me off though, the commentators going on about Scolari and Ronaldo and with the whole real madrid/chelsea thing. He wouldnt shut up about that.
And they kept filming the german coach in that box, which you could barely see because of the rain, so that annoyed me.
Anyway great game. :biggrin:

i love attacking fullbacks, all teams should have them for our entertainment, he was probably in the german half more than his own.

If you had watched more closely you would have seen Metzelder (was it him?) stepping on his foot after the faul, whilst he was walking by Ronaldo. Was lucky he wasn't sent off.

ronaldo was a big disappointment.
deco did great for me. and bosingwa as you said, he made some problems for lahm.

Disappointed in Portugal, this would have been good for them. All they can look forward to is the future, their players are growing and getting better.

Very nice game by the Germans. It was everything I hoped it would be. I knew Schweinsteiger would have a good game, but I never thought he'd play that well. He was the key to everything we did. Ballack still hasn't found his game though. He needs to get on the ball more and make things happen.
Low's tactical changes were spot on as well. Taking off Fritz and Gomez did wonders. Rolfes and Hitzlsperger also did well as starters.
As I said before, Germany is a bad matchup for Portugal. They are bigger and stronger and tactically superb to the Portuguese. Hell, they were able to shut down Ronaldo for 85% of the game.
Turkey, here we come!
