This site is getting more and more boring everyday. The topics on here lack variety and creativity. Also, hardly anyone post on the non-freestyle sections of the forum anymore. Used to, all sections of the forum had good activity. This allowed people to have multiple subjects to talk about, not just freestyle.
I really like freestyle. It's the only reason I'm even a part of this forum, but really guys, there is more to talk about. If you are that boring of an individual that the only thing you think about is freestyle, that is fine, but you are super boring. Lets try to make this place a more interesting community and bring some variety to this place. I think all of us watch movies, sports, and listen to music. Start posting on other topics. I seriously cannot just read 50 topics asking for combos anymore.

ok freestyle is the only thing everybody likes here. Me, i like soccer for example, and i sometimes share my opinion, but there's just too few people interested in soccer, it's only Adi, and jabarinho, who's comments lack of knowledge, as you'll agree.
Also why should i discuss about a random topic with people i barely know personally?
Also Freestyle is the only topic you could have a profound discussion here, to be honest a lot of freestylers are just kids with a lot of freetime... what do you want to discuss with them?

At least you agree Jaba is talking nonsense about football. The thing is this site used to be much better. Part of the fun of the site was finding freestylers that shared other interest as you. We all know everyone on here likes freestyle, so it's kind of boring to discuss. Really, I don't understand why so few people use the soccer forum. I mean, it's football freestyle for a reason. Really, nobody on here cares about football?
The point I'm making here is that if you don't make an effort to make the other sections of the forum better, they'll never get better. There used to be some great threads in the other sections, but now there is almost nothing.
How about you share some of the stuff you discuss on other forums. You might be surprised at who might share interest with you.

@redsforlife: it's boring to discuss with an arrogant person. Because you know your opinion is dead before you even say it. I understand you are passionate about your sport and it causes emotions but maybe calm down a little?
On topic: I think sometimes the forum get boring because there is nothing to talk about. You should not talk just to talk, if you know what i mean.
If someone does not post in a topic in general chat does not mean you have the superiority to call them boring.

Just don't post. You were the one that went off topic. I just responded. Discussion with you is over. We were never discussing anything of worth.
Jaba: I really don't understand how you can say that I did that and you didn't. I gave you a few points here and there like that the Barca team "passing in air" as you would call it could qualify as not juggling. You never once budged on anything, but kept your original stance from the beginning. The only reason I acted as I did was you never once provided anything except your own words to support your stance. It's not a good argument. Find some video or something. Even find video of drills to do instead of juggling that could completely replace it. Discussion is the entire point in a forum.
This topic was put out there to mention that for the sake of the forum, we need to post in other topics. Something I'll give you and vittoleon some credit for. You both do post outside the freestyle section. Do you really think that it's not a little dull only being able to talk about freestyle? If so, that's fine that is your opinion. This forum didn't start out as a freestyle forum. It was originally a football forum which progressed to football and freestyle. There were also many non freestyle or football topics discussed on here. Made it much more interesting. It could only improve the site by having more posting outside the freestyle section. It doesn't have to be everyone, but the more the better.

Thanks for making this topic. I've been bothered by the lack of activity in other forums as well. People are just too lazy or lack any opinion/interest in other topics.
Honestly, I think it's because the crowd it too young here. Think about it... when you were 12-15, you could care less about the news. All you did was play video games or take up some other hobby.
There is the exception, with some people being interested in multiple things who also like to share their opinion.
The General Chat section is normally one of the best places on all forums. You can post about all kinds of shit. If you don't post in General Chat or anywhere else, you can't even "get to know" anyone on here.
Anyways, start posting over there and other places. I'm sure some of you are watching the EURO... why not post about the country you support? We won't make you feel stupid if you don't know all that much... just don't try to talk tactics if you don't know shit.
By the way, Jason is a bit "temperamental" on here but who cares... it's a forum. You should have strong opinions and something interesting to read. I think he takes the Devil's Advocate role and runs with it. Nothing wrong with that.

No, no... You can definitely have your opinion even on tactics and stuff, but some people need to know their limitations. If someone knows more then there's a time when you gotta draw the line and stop argument nonsense just to keep arguing. Not saying this applies to you specifically. Just saying in general.

I joined this forum for freestyle's sake, but i think that posting in other non-fs topics is just as much fun, and discussions and arguements is also more interesting than just agreeing... :13:

This forum is the best out there for freestyle so obviously many come here to learn and share about freestyle. That's their first intention.
I also doubt that many here have english as their first language so they can't really understand what's going on in many of the topics.

Royal, you were here in the old days. You remember how it was. Why were there so many people back than that posted everywhere? It's not just that. The majority of the English speakers are not posting outside of the freestyle section anymore as well. I think Adi is right. Too many young kids whom genuinely are not interested in other topics besides the freestyle topics.

Nothing wrong with that. We all join forums for their main purpose. In this case, freestyle but that doesn't mean you can't post in General Chat, Soccer, or somewhere else. That's all we're saying. If people post 75% in freestyle and 25% in other areas, we'd have some good activity all around the forum.
General Chat and Soccer forums are a bit up right now which is good but we need even more members there.

I actually think you know quite a bit about footy. You seem to follow it quite a bit but some of your opinions are not always right. It's OK though because we all have preferences, etc. I like your posts though. Keep posting in all forums... good stuff. :)

The whole point of it is that this is a forum. In my first post on this page, I mentioned that the only reason I'm a part of this page is that I like freestyle. Now, is that all I want to talk about on here? No. It would be much more interesting if we could talk about other things as well.
We all know that we have freestyle in common. That makes conversing about only freestyle boring after a while. One of the things I have really enjoyed about interaction with freestylers is finding freestylers that share other hobbies with me like music, movies, other sports, etc. It just makes it that much more interesting.

I actually think you know quite a bit about footy. You seem to follow it quite a bit but some of your opinions are not always right. It's OK though because we all have preferences, etc. I like your posts though. Keep posting in all forums... good stuff. :)

You could start by being an example and post in other topics a bit more yourself. You used to post alot on those forums. Also, Hot Babes Thread anyone. Either Adi and I are the only straight guys on this page since we are the only ones that post there, or half the site doesn't even know it exist. I fuckin hope most of the freestyle kids like girls, but you never know. Royal used to post some good shit on there.

Everyone should check out all the unread posts in all boards outside of the Freestyle sections. It's really only the Soccer forum and General Chat. If you don't like footy, post in General Chat. At least give it a read to see what's going on.

This is what I am noticing. The 2 most popular parts of the forum are the video section and the competition section. This means the majority of the users on here are only posting about videos and competitions. Well, here's the problem with that. They are probably the 2 most boring sections of the forum in general. I don't really use the competition section at all, because I don't care about competing in any of them, so talk about it would obviously be boring to me. We all love the video section, but as far as the forum goes, that's not the section where the best discussion can be made. It's just videos and more or less compliments and criticisms. There isn't much debate or real discussion going on.
If we only want to talk about freestyle, than lets make some good freestyle chat topics too guys. We have to utilize this place as a forum to make it work, not just a place to post videos or compete in online competitions. If there aren't improvements, members that do want to use the forum will eventually think it's not worth their while and quit posting. Furthermore, eventually Adi might not find it worth his while to run this site.
I'm doing my part by posting this and other topics. Come on guys. All I'm asking is to post on at least 1 topic outside the video and competition forums to keep it more interesting. If all those guys just contributed one post outside those forums for every post they make in them, the place would improve alot.

the way i see it is that there are more positives than negatives on the forum. If you look back in old threads there have always been disagreements, arguments etc but those few threads didn't bring down the activity in the old days.
I appreciate this forum and all the effort Adi and others put into it to building it and maintaining it. So i agree with redsforlife, more people should try to contribute too. There are over 4000 members signed up here.
But it depends on how you see it. Some guys may see more negatives than positives.

At least I caught your attention. Forums run off posts. If people are not posting, there is no point in having a forum. If you disagree with what I said, I guess you don't want to be a part of a forum. Also, there is a difference between debate and discussion and petty arguments. The whole point of a forum is to discuss similar and different views. If we all agreed, this world would be a very boring place. Really though, all good forums have arguments. It's only natural. If you are offended by arguing, don't add to them.

I agree with everything you said, Jason. Your comments about the activity in the videos and competition sections is correct.
I do think Competitions are vital to this forum, though. The more competitions we have, the more new members will sign up. I always see a flood of new members when a new competition begins. Hopefully some of these members will post in other sections as well after signing up.
Either way, everyone just needs to keep posting in all the forums and things will pick up. The key to a boost in activity is new threads.
If you want to help, start a new thread. It sometimes feels good when you create a thread and it gets 3+ pages of posts. Give it a try.

P.S starting controversy isn't always a bad thing. This is a somewhat controversial thread, and it's become successful. Lets try to bring this forum back to what it used to be when all sections were active. I've talked to several people that used to post on here all the time. All of them told me how they used to post in the non-freestyle sections all the time. The reason they have quit posting in the them is no one else does currently. Guys, if we just ignore the problem, we'll never be able to solve it. Start posting. If you have a hobby or anything, post a topic to see if anyone else likes it.
