The lace flick trick is when you put your laces on top of the ball, get good grip and then cause the ball to pop up into the air. Once you learn to do this flick, you can combine it with more advanced tricks to produce some great combos. Step 1 - Make sure you get good grip on the ball and that there is sufficient grip between the ball and the ground. Otherwise the ball will slip around and the move will be extremely difficult to pull off. Step 2 - Step over the ball so that your laces are positioned on top of the ball. The more parallel your shins are with the ground the better. The motion you require is along the horizontal so get a feel for it by moving your leg back and forth (to make sure you have grip) in preparation for execution. Step 3 - Snap back, pushing downwards slightly as your leg moves back and extends. Your foot should naturally turn so that your toes curve under the ball. At this point try to use your body's momentum to lift the ball up quickly. Essentially its just a normal flick up, the difference is you don't have much room to do it, so you've got to just be quick and make sure you've got enough grip on the ball.
