Hire a Football Freestyler

Hardcore freestyle appears to be fading away

I thought I would write a little about what, in my opinion, is going to happen with freestyle in the future.  2010 was the year with the most advances in lower air combos, but I believe they have now peaked and will only go downhill from here on out. The buzz over creativity and different styles is now much higher than that for air combos.

I might be wrong and maybe there will be a sudden release of extreme hardcore videos from the masters.  Shades of Grey (embedded below) was the last shocking and inspiring hardcore video.  There hasn't been anything special in the last month and people seem to be mainly talking about competitions; giving up hardcore freestyle for the consistent and often safe live performance style.

I think it is impossible to predict where freestyle is going, but right now it seems like it is edging away from hardcore and into a performing art.  Personally, I would much rather it be the opposite.  After all, accomplishments and advances in freestyle are most exciting to see through hardcore moves and combos.  I don't know about you, but I'd rather see somebody do 4 ATW NT than watch lots of TV adverts featuring a carousel, perhaps even a LATW!
