Mark Hughes Given £250 Million Transfer Budget
« on: May 30, 2009, 11:43: AM »
The City boss has been handed a giant suitcase full of cash by the club's ambitious owners...

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has been given a war chest of £250 million for the summer as the club look to rebuild for next season, according to The Daily Mail.

The hope at the City of Manchester Stadium is that the money will be enough to attract some of the world's biggest stars.

Huge salaries are reportedly ready to be offered to these players, to make up for the club's failure to secure European football next season.

Now, a whole host of top players are rumoured to be on their way to the club, including Barcelona strikers Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry. And, it is believed, that the club may even reignite their interest in AC Milan's playmaker Kaka, who they failed to sign in January with a massive bid of £107 million.

The clubs came close to an agreement, but the player preferred to remain at the San Siro for the rest of the season at least.

Without the distraction of European football next season, City believe that they have a chance to break into the top four and have identified the Premier League as their main priority.

They are, therefore, looking to bolster their squad, particularly their defence and front line, with many big name players expected to be linked with the club over the next few weeks and months.

125 mil for messi

125 mil for kaka

thats all you need lol

EDIT: who would you buy if you were mark huges

1. Tevez 25 mil

2. kaka 100 mil or slightly more

3. ronaldinho 25 mil or more

keep the other 100 mil

Reason:
Tevez loan at man utd finished and Man utd dont seem interested in keeping him

Kaka they were close last time and berlusconni said he may need to sell kaka

Ronaldinho is very unhappy at milan, no game time, many are calling for him to leave, good play good partnership with robinho

that may not be the case any longer.  big competition for him, but it would be a great signing.

waste of money, unless he wants to start moving when he plays again.

:dontknow:

half-joke/half-truth. the past few times i've seen him play he has just randomly walked around the field. there isn't really any other way to put it. there's a reason dunga dropped him. of course, he's still an incredibly talented player, and playing time could give him a huge boost...or not.

Surely they get rid of Mark Hughes soon, they throwin all this money about to get superstar players, but have a mediocre manager, dunt make sense to me.

Yeah, Ronaldinho has gone to the dogs lately.
