United won't let Barcelona play their style either. Barcelona is being hyped up too much. The problem is if Barcelona aren't allowed to play their style they are very poor. Sorry a great team can play any style.

It's always the team playing against Barcelona that must adapt in order to hinder Barcelona's style. Never the other way around. This is an obvious sign of a great team.

no, it's not, especially when you can not adapt to more effectively break the other team down.  it's not like barcelona played the same game and ran through chelsea like a buzzsaw

in so much as a great team will adapt to break the other team down

don't get me wrong, barcelona is one of the top teams in europe, but it's not because they play the same god damned way every game

this argument is running in circles. i don't know what's so hard to understand.

United played Porto and Arsenal.  I understand thier unbeaten streak, but what have they showed this season that Barcelona hasn't? Both have won thier respective leagues and a cup. Barcelona happens to be better offensively, and United better defensively in the competition. Barcelona have the best player in the world, and United have the second best.

Why is it even a question that Barcelona is the greatest or one of the greatest team in the world right now? Because they struggled to get victories? United relied on a magical Ronaldo 45 yard shot to scrape them past Porto. Give me a break.

it's not.  they're obviously one of the best two-three-four teams in europe.  what remains to be seen is if they are far and away the best team in europe (which many people have been making them out to be)

if it isn't barcelona, then it isn't anyone, to be honest.

one of the greatest team in the world right now?

if manchester united wins this game, they will have done just about everything there is to do this year.  i don't think you can reasonably put it past them.  i wouldn't imagine that you could still give it to the team that "plays prettier."

if united wins this game, you'll think they'll be "far and beyond" better than any other team? don't make me laugh.

these games mean nothing anyway. honestly. United won last year because John Terry slipped, not because they are the best team in Europe. That is a fact.

united winning last year doesn't mean that united is far and away the best team in europe.  in fact, there isn't much that separated chelsea and united last year (i.e. very, very little).  i will consider united the best team in europe if they win, but that doesn't mean that i consider them much better than barcelona

a one off game doesn't really mean anything.  winning consistently across all competitions means a whole hell of a lot.  there may not be anything that really separates barcelona and united, and that's not really why i've argued in this thread
