Freestyle = Circus?
« on: Mar 17, 2009, 02:01: AM »
I see a lot of people commenting on LP videos,
that freestylers should go to circus or some shit,
but do we really look like circus?

The RBSS in Sao Paolo...it really looks like circus,
but insted the tricks with gymnastic aand animals,
we battle each other and show tricks with ball to crowd................

your statement?

Freestyle comes in 2 forms, performance (more entertainment focused) and sport (more skill focused).
The performance part could deffinately be found at a circus one day, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation :rolleyes:
I was going to be there...but now I'm not going to be there

I'd say that it might fit on circus, but that's not my goal. I don't freestyle for being in a circus.

the thing that separates freestyle from the circus is that freestyle is an urban sport... its an extreme sport without being as dangerous.. if you know what i mean, circus doesnt include any "street" sports, its kinda more high class

whenever ppl don't get it, i just tell them we're like the harlem globetrotters but for football.  then they understand.

To be honest I've actually thought about it as a Circus before. Not directly related, but the performing side of it maybe.
