What abour music while being at the gym? Personally I like rap. Gangster rap, hip hop, even r'n'b at times. I always bring my iPod when I go to the gym. The music they play here is terrible. Anything of the radio blows so going to the gym without my iPod is not an option. I did it once and I was in huge regret after 5 minutes...

I usually take my ipod aswell, but since here in LA is pure about rap/hip-hop, it's disgusting.
I mean i like hip-hop,rap, but when working out i like rock, heavy metal. Something that pumps me up.
None of the i "love" you songs, but the i "hate" you songs.

Yeah I get it. Aggressive gangster rap also works good to get that extra energy tho. Working out to any slow shit is in 9 of 10 situations really bad or even worthless  :cheers: have you ever been to muscle beach? That's in LA right?
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation :rolleyes:

Well that's in Venice beach, hahaha it's kinda sick tho, i wouldn't want to work out there, too sweaty and filthy there.
Bunch of winos and homeless people there working out, but they do have some good equipment there i'll say.

Oh no it's not in LA, it's near Santa Monica.
I don't know the cost of it, i know it's open everyday.
I may go ask tomorrow since im going venice beach.
Shit, i might go work out there.

Yeah I always take my ipod, and listen to Hip Hop, and yeah some AOTP type stuff is usually good. Buuuuut they usually have the music dead loud and if you're right near the speakers its so annoying cos you cant hear your own music even @ full vol. when it hurts your ears you can still hear the pop shit in the background    :cursing:

I have the same problem aswell but maxing the volume doesn't bring me any pain in my eares so I'm fine with that.

It makes me laugh when I go and see people on the weight machines/equipment and there doin like 10 or so half reps really fast, and then let the weights slam down cos they cant control it down, then they think they're some kinda weight lifting badman...
I jus think: what a tosser, why not jus do it properly and it dunt work your muscles as well if you dont do it right anyway.

Surely you guys see these typa guys too.

I do half reps on some excersices. Whatever gives me best contact really. It's bodybuilding and not some execution contest you know. Although I understand what you mean.. You see some skinny kid doing high weight but doing it incorrectly and he probably thinks he's a strong mofo ^.^
