Borg, we have track suits, jackets, travel gear and all that good stuff. It's from Select, a Danish soccer company that's growing very fast. The only tournament we play in is the NCAA National tournament. Only the best 32 teams in the nation get to play in it. Sometimes there is a Conference tournament, but we didn't have one this season.
There are athletic and academic scholarships. Academic scholarships have nothing to do with soccer. If you get an athletic scholarship, you will keep it as long as you are on the team. At the end of every season, the coaches usually go over the scholarships to decide whether you should keep yours, get it reduced, or maybe get a better scholarship. If you lose your soccer scholarship or quit the team, it does not affect your status with the school. You will still remain at the school as long as your grades are meeting the requirements.
During pre-season, two weeks prior to season, we train twice a day. During season, we train just about every day. After season, we get off for a few months. In the spring, which is coming up soon for us, we train every other day and have weights in between. During road trips, we usually miss some school. I'd say we miss about 1-2 days of school every week or every other week. Just depends.
