Not really; where is your passport from? What language do you speak at home, assuming you live with somalian parents...

i consider myself equally honduran as american..even though i've lived here all of my life, i was raised by two hondurans who happen to be my parents.

Fair enough.

But no I meant I don't even consider myself equally Australian, I refuse to integrate at all. Zero percent, not I see people on the news complaining about this type of thing.

Would you have a problem with this, if I was living in 'your' countries?

nope; my father is the perfect example. he's been living here for over 20 years and refuses to go past the "permanent resident" aspect of living here; he'd be illegal if he could, but he'd rather not get deported. not that he hates the country...he came here for a reason.

the typical american, however, does have problems with people coming here and "localizing" take miami for instance, or certain parts of new york. there are so many people that live full lives in this country that don't even speak english. of course it bothers people, but it doesn't bother me at all.

How old you now? And where you born btw?

I would have a problem with it if didnt join in with the culture at all and then bring your own culture over here and say shit bout ours. And then also try to get your own way.

(Im not sayin you like this, but this is the problem i see with most pakistanis [or whoever] who come over here)

I salute the man.

Theres a little issue here, politicians and the public is complaining about immigrants not  integrating.

I don't see why I would want to integrate anyway, I came here with my fathers money and everything we have we worked hard for. Its not like I'm in debt to this country. I'll tell my brothers and sisters who are born here off if they are speaking English amongst each other at home and other un-African type behavior.

Integration is a form of genocide, because slowly you start to loose your culture, religion and language before you know it the next generation of family will be foreign.

Way I see it no one else but the natives (true owners of the land) can tell me what to do in this country.

The bold part doesn't really make sense.

Why should foreigners join your culture? do they ask you to join in their cultures?? '

This shouldn't be a problem unless your in Turkey, where you have to change your name in order to become a citizen.

ur talkin shit... the immigrants should try to integrate in the local communitys that they move to... get involved in football teams is even a good example... but some people just stay completely to themselves and refuse to integrate even 1% and thats why people become annoyed with minoritys, here its like that with some Polish / Eastern europeans

not so much now.  however, that's kind of the natural progression of things.  i don't know why you'd expect otherwise

well said. no one truely allows themselves to live somewhere where they don't want to.

but see, if you look at my case, my parents moved here and i was born here. i speak english over spanish; not that i can't speak spanish because i speak it very well. however english is my preferred language. that's not a loss of culture. i eat honduran food, i watch honduran soccer, and i still speak the language. that is culture, whether english is my 1 or 2.

although you aren't australian, you should be proud of where you live. i don't care too much about the politics of this country, but i am damn sure proud to be from here, as my parents are proud to live here. you should be thankful you aren't living in somalia robbing ships off the coast; you've got a better life where you are.
