How you found this forum
« on: Feb 10, 2008, 02:50: PM »
Ages ago when i first started to freestyle, i wanted to know other tricks besides ATW. So i searched the net and came across a tutorial on beyond football and that helped me heaps. From there i saw great videos of emil and started to become more dedicated. I joined the SG forum and asked help on cross overs. However not knowing what forums were i made multiple topics and asked in multiple threads how to do a crossover, people never really helped me of explained that what i was doing was bad so i ended up getting insulted. Due to this i found an australian fs forum and joined it, i am now a mod on that site. I came back to SG like 6 months later.

With this info i think Adi can make the forum better, i reckon he should put trick tutorials on the site like it was before "all colour coded" as there are many noobs searchin for new fs tricks to do. And also people should be nicer to newer members that have little knowledge on forums.

There are still some color-coded tutorials. It's usually users who submit the tutorials. I think you could help out a lot since you know what you had to do when you were a beginner.

Also, I think everyone needs to be a bit nicer to new members, especially in the freestyle forums. Some people don't know much about forums so they don't post in the right threads. We should make sure they feel welcomed so they continue to post, rather than run away because they are intimidated by everyone bashing them.

Anyways, keep this thread rolling people. How did everyone find this place?

i looked up some freestyle videos and i somehow landed upon beyondfootball which i thought was a godly site with thousands of videos and so i bookmarked the site with joy and then one day after seeing some beginner freestyle do an atw i went exploring and hit a button that said "soccergrip forum" what i saw scarred me and so i quit out but the next day i tried again and i joined

a friend introduced me to freestyle football after he watched a Touzani vid on a mates phone. so he got me into it too and told me about a site called expertfootball.com where i watched a lot of videos Rinus Netten was one of the first videos i watched. then my friend started visiting a forum called "Soccergrip" to watch the videos then i soon caught on and after a month or 2 watching videos i decided to join the forum and had never really used a forum before so i wasnt too sure what to do. i soon got used to after people insulted me and internetally violated me lol.

i also used owen4evers site quiet a lot for freestyle tutorials.
