UEFA Footballer of the Year

Cristiano Ronaldo won this over John Terry, Petr Cech, and Frank Lampard.

Do you think this is well deserved? He won it hands down in my opinion.

His whole Champion's League run was fantastic.

8 goals in 11 games and at one point he was at 5 goals in 5 games.

I thought Vidic would grab the Defender award, or Van der Sar for Goalkeeper because of the penalties..

if this is the player of the year award for last years champions league then i cant answer cos i didnt really follow man u's matches.
but if this is for the general player of the year award in europe then he wins hands down, what he did last season was incredible, it was incredible for a striker, and hes not a striker, which made it compltely out of this world.. and i speak as a liverpool fan haha lol.
personally i dont like ronaldo cos of his attitude, and the whole diving etc, but i dont think there is a player that is even close to him right now, i dont think messi or kaka are even close.
and his goal against roma was great.

Spot on... I don't really agree with any of those other 3 selections. Personally, Ribery was ahead of all three of them last season.

Yeah his proformance in the Champions League last season was unparallel in more ways than one  :rolleyes:
