You know the funny thing is that nothing will change. The English are too proud to bring in a coach that will do his own thing. If a coach was to drop Rooney, Gerrard or a Terry for example the pressure on him would be too immense. Thats why other players wont be given a chance. Or at least play more often such as Joe Cole, Bentley, SWP, Lescot, Lita, Sidwell, Lennon, Theo, Johnson, Shorey, Bride ect ect. There is a need for a balance right now too many arrogant show offs and big egos.

You said that they won world cup '66. Fair enough they did do it, then again Uruguay won in '40 and '52 so we can easily say that they are still an average team.And Denmark won Euro in '92. Not only that but England invented the game............And they still dont know how to play well. And the reason every1 talks about England being the worst most horrible thing ever (jk) is because everyone looks at the EPL and concludes that a country with a strong league SHOULD have a nation that can contend with the best. England cant, because they stuck their heads so far up each other's asses that they fail to realize that other teams are just better than them and that they wont win anything anytime soon

I can assure you that the English people do not overrate the national team. Yes, there are occasional idiots that do, but for the most part the country heavily criticizes the team and has done since Euro 96/WC 98.

Lita is a starter for Reading, him and Doyle got it on lock. Dudes a fucking beast as well, explosive pace and a real menace for defenders to deal with I would put him on the national team if I was manager.

Anyhow, I think that the main problem is that the English players recently havent been as creative, technically talented, and well coached as footballers in other countries. They are lacking in flair and in a cohesive passing game.

Have you heard of something called sarcasm? Thats what I was using there when I said about Luis Figo, I was merely using his name to bring to light the fact that you are about 12 years old and he was before your time, do you understand Seal head?

I recently stated Englands record in the past few tournaments to show the fact that,in fact, England have performed pretty consistently over the past few years and shouldn't be getting hammered as much as they are by people on this forum.

Bloody hell, it's hard work being on this forum, not many people are literate and have any knowledge of the game. I think I might retire.

It's true, too many good teams and players get bashed on this forum simply because the members "don't like them".

England is a good team, filled with great players, but they just don't work hard enough or together enough. That doesn't mean their shit. Cappello came in and I guarantee you England will qualify for the World Cup and atleast go into the semi's. They are very consistent like The Nut said. They've lost to Portugal which eliminated them twice in the past 4 years, (dated back to the Euro 04). They've been making it past group stages, Round of 16s, and whatnot, but just because they slip up once on the final qualifying game against Croatia and are unable to qualify means they're shit? Give me a break.

Russia and Croatia advanced over England, Russia made it to the semis, and Croatia made it to the quarter finals, so it's not like the teams that advanced over England were bad.
