dude is a broken record with a questionable flow

if every song was "dance with the devil" or like his verse off of "never know why," he'd be

@ Lil Wayne topic: The drought 3 was hot his mixtape game is on point, but I wasn't feelin the carter III. When that fool was on Nelly's album (country grammar) he spat hot-spittable.  He sounded straight, and he did his thang on My life with the game, but other than that, that Lollipop garbage and this got money shit,  that can all go. I'm tired of Lil Wayne personally, he aint as hot as let's say Cassidy

Immortal Technique: he straight but need to get down gritty again,  his new shit starting to sound sloppy, he aint concentrating on his lines and rap is down as it is. He was straight in concert though. I like to keep my music and politics seperate, maybe thats dudes only outlet.

I'm not shitting on him; true, he does sound like a "broken record" which is why i think he went overboard on his new shit. I wouldn't say his flow is questionable in a song like "revolutionary" or "harlem streets"; those songs have quality raps.

yeah, i was going to put "weak as fuck," but there are songs where he has sounded very, very good.  he sounds like he's forcing it sometimes

he definitely has his niche, and it's not as if there are not many others that do as well.  it just gets pretty boring after a while

i'm going to give the "3rd world" a listen in a little bit (within the week)

You appart of http://boards.atlanticrecords.com/artists/lupefiasco/forums by any chance?

Thanks man. I'm trying to make the blog bigger but it's tough.

I made one post on the Lupe forum to promote the blog but that was about it.

And I agree with ELITE, a big part of Kanye is his performance. He's got the best show out of any rapper. I've been to the Glow in the Dark tour and what he did is unbelievable. He's on another level compared to other rappers. For all I care, he can be as cocky as he wants because he's just that good.

the only songs i find tolerable on there are 'this is what it is' 'the third world' (it's ok) and 'golpe de estado' (mostly because some tight ass mexican dude raps on that shit.) it's not as bad as it could have been though.

@ melbourne

tha carter 1-3, the suffix's, the drought; lil wayne made rediculous raps on all of these albums. and i don't like lil wayne because of all of the new stuff he is doing. i date back to callin' me killer, get off tha corner, and the block is hot. please, don't talk like the game and ross are great because they keep it old school; they are fine, but they can stay in the old school while lil wayne takes over the new school. he is the hottest rapper out right now, and he can actually rap, not to mention he shat all over al sharpton on tha carter 3.

he wasn't kidding when he said that after the saints and hornets, all new orleans has left is him. you'd be surprised how lil wayne is percieved around here; he's on presidential status, and i don't think many other rappers represent thier city as hard and well as lil wayne does.

and about kanye; please, kanye is one of the best performers in the game. he's very very creative; he started out giving hova tracks like Hola Hovito, etc. and just gradually evolved into one of the greats in the game right now. i always look forward to listening and seeing kanye's newest shit; his tracks appeal to various people. call it what you want (pop rap or what have you), but mr. west makes good hip hop and fantastic beats, hands down.

bitch, don't hate on lil wayne. i like autotune :hello:

i wasnt exactly targeting him with he can do amazing verses, then other times he just sucks

he's also human. and, a for the most part, is probably on purple. he's in his own world, really.
I never said Game and Ross are great, I said they are the artists that I listen to more compared to Kanye, T.I, 50 and Wayne. Your just bigging the dude up because hes from your City and there is nothing wrong with that. I'm not telling you what you should be listening to. Personally I think some of the musik is trash.

Its funny how you jump the gun and say this person is the best in the game, while Nas, Ghost, Joe budden etc still strong. Bun B-II Trill,  Nas-Untitled, Young Jeezy-The Recession, Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple all hot albums that dropped this year, much better then Carter III if you ask me.

Wayne is talented but hes always been mediocre.
