Might be the type of shoe that is not working for you. I fully understand what you're saying.

To me the shoes you're using right now kinda look like they have a thick tip. Meaning that there's too much space between your foot and the ball. This would lead to the problems you're facing right now.

So my 2 cents: go get a new pair with a smooth shape close around your foot.  :)

Anyway 'KevinVO "is right, the tip seems too thick, it can hamper when you do a trick
Lately most of the freestylers use "nike 5 elastic" that are perfect for training
