Captain Tsubasa
« on: Jun 23, 2012, 09:19: AM »
Did anyone here grow up watching Captain Tsubasa?

It's a soccer carton in the mold of Dragonball Z.  Coolest thing ever.  It was big in Germany and it's huge in Asia.  I think South America has it too as well as other European countries.

I think it'd be great in the US too because of all the kids that play youth soccer, but it's not here yet.  It's around as Flash Kicker in the US but nobody wants to buy it.

For those of you who watched Tsubasa... post about it here.  I'll kick it off with some classic clips and pictures. Ph the memories! :)

Are they still making episodes?  I watched it from 1995 until 1998.

I thin they kept making them as late as 2006, if not later.

I know he plays for Japan later on and Barcelona.  What a cartoon!

They sometimes show this show in Spanish to highschool students. That's the only time I've seen it before.

Yen, how current are the episodes over there?

Can you tell us a little more?  I'm sure it's big time over in Asia.
