Legendary revie plan

[selvakumar]

the Revie plan:
this was a famous move used by the Manchester city. This tactic revolves around the  centre  forward  who plays a main role in this tactic.the winger somehow manages to move front and pass the ball to the centre forward who scores a goal. But don't you think this legendary tactic named after Don Revie who was the centre forward is not used now?

[Adi]

You might have to explain this a bit more. It doesn't sound like a tactic. It's seems to be a regular pass to the forward then a finish.

[selvakumar]

it means When Revie who used to be the centre forward moves forward faster than his nearby defenders of the opposition to receive the pass from the winger who some how manages to pass to him.with no defender nearby he can easily score.
