I think people misunderstand his criticism, if something doesn't look landed or it's not clean think leha has a right to tell you that...

He's never told anyone to quit freestyle, only ways to improve.

uhm one question: have you visited this forum while leha was active?

I used to hate Leha and i think he hated me. But allthough i hate him i have to admit that he must have some great knowledge because of ARS' fast progress. but there were also strange things: he always complained about a move being landed or not or a move being clean or not. But he even failed to do clean htws, thats a fact you can see that in a competition in russia he took part.

I still would like to read his tutorials and want to try his methods.
It's not that hard to look up his older posts...
You guy's flipped your shit on him because he was actually offering constructive criticism, that competition? You do realize how fucked his knees are right? I give him credit for still being able to juggle. Face it, if he didn't have that injury he'd be on such a higher level than everyone else (the majority) Had it not been for his knees i garauntee he would've fucked shit up.
What's wrong with complaining about a move not being landed?
Instead of being a whiney bitch why don't you go outside and land it?

you are right there isnt anything wrong in giving some constructive critizism.... one time! but when leha gave critizism he always started huge discussions about his critizism and that was the annoying thing for me.

Samuel is from the US, he has never talked to Leha, doesn't even know his real life name - so i didn't get why you called Leha Samuel's friend

Sven vs Zhura, Yoakim's skatw, Aasheim's kalatw, badly executed tricks etc - he was always right - and truth is: there is way better to have a forum member like that - than an ass licking kid with 256 karma, who will be nice to you all the time and give shitty tips - just for the hell of it

i d rather have somebody to tell me where i am wrong and what can be improved  :great:

and Leha is not the only person on bf who had low karma and was disliked but in fact was contributing a lot to the community
DantheMan also had -200 karma and people were pissed at him for some of his jokes and comments - however he organized Amsterdam meet, was a judge at rbss, and deserves recognition for that

same with Leha, he used to have a lot of haters both on bf and in Russia too - now he is probably the most respected and influential person in Russian freestyle

You just missed the point.
Do you realize that some people went into freestyle just for the fun of it, and not to improve so drastically while having no fun at all?
Why should freestyle be about improvements all the time? Like Linde said: "Freestyle is way more than just showing off skills, and being the best, it's about friendship, and it's about having fun."
The way Leha and his posts on here, I've never seen him making an effort to tell anyone what his trick is clean (I think he never went into any other people's videos besides the one that he posted on telling people to improve their style and starting huge arguments (sometimes up to 7 pages you kidding me?))
Do you know how some of the beginners would feel like having him on their asses telling them to improve their style over and over again, without actually giving them tips on how to improve?
On this life, there are things way higher than just being good at freestyle. Now I ask you: do you guys seriously want to make livings out of freestyle in the future? If no, then why should you even care about criticizing people, while you can be friends with them? If yes, you will have to travel the world one day, meeting new people, and the way you act will not impress them. Either way, you just have to learn to be compassionate and forgiving towards other people, in order to achieve the true happiness that freestyle brings.
Now I'll tell you a story:
- Once I was a little boy in Vietnam. And in Vietnam, everyone was very strict, especially teachers. If I did something wrong, even just a little, they reprimanded me, telling me that by the way I'm going, I'll never achieve something in life.
- When I came to the United States, I recognized the teachers were so open minded. They didn't try to harass me each time I'm doing something wrong, but encourage me to try and fix it myself, with encouragements and promises of a better future.
- And that's why I've improved significantly, in both my mind capabilities and my attitude towards other people, especially my professors. Now they are not powerful angry deities about to strike me every time I'm wrong, but rather understanding and compassionate friends who I can count on every time I run into trouble.
- That is how I improved, not by insults and rude tips, but by passion and love.
Do you understand why Jesus or the Buddha, or Confucious were loved so much by the people? They educated people, but they did so in a compassionate and loving way. But they have all made tremendous amounts of contributions to the world. That's the ultimate proof that you can change the world while being nice. And if they can do that, why can't you?

I really want to find out about his tutorials.

To be honest, I've only seen/heard of him from looking at old topics and stuff but he seemed to start a load over nothing.

great post - Khoa
you are right about certain things

and i have to say that Leha has changed a lot - he is not active on bf - but very active on freestyle page on russian social network
his attitude has changed a lot - trying to help people rather than critisize them

he helps me a lot - and i can't say anything bad about him - if you get to know him - he is quite a nice guy

why would he react evil to some posts on bf back in the old days - when somebody is so much devoted and committed to freestyle - it is hard not to react like that after seeing not clean, not landed tricks combos and comments of ignorant and ass licking people saying "oh that's sick" "great" etc

If he's really like that, I will be glad to check out his tutorials with no complaints. And I know they will be awesome.
Thank you for the contribution Alex. If you can really translate those tutorials and post them on here, you'll have my gratitude.  :PDT_Armataz_01_37:

where did he get his knowledge from?
Look at his older videos and ARS, he has great influence on hardcore fs, personal.y I wouldn't mind having a training session with the guy so I know of areas where I could improve and how to improve them. Surehe seems a bit harsh on his posts (as brizze said), but it should only motivate people to try harder.
I would rather have someone say..
"gtfo and train your atw, style was shit" will piss me off, but your damn Sure I'm gonna get my ass outside and work harder on it.improvement wise.

Not the stereotypical "atw style was a bit off, try harder at it, other than that Good job!" - can someone find me motivation in that?

One trick I use to train is to hate where i am now. If you ever get happy with your level you will fail (at improving.) I think leha motivated alot  of people without them realizing it.

Bullshit. There's a reason why they don't do that in school or in any other educational department. Because it doesn't work well. It demotivates you most of the time.
Study psychology in year 11+12 and you'll understand why..or do some research.

Here's a comment from one of my videos, it motivated me to try and speed up my style:

grea vid! really enjoyable :) think you should try and speed your style up a bit cos its a bit flat footed but i love your alatw and ahmatw styleee

If he said, "Your style is shit, it's too slow" I would have ignored him. Positive feedback mixed with constructive critizism works best.

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.
-If you're a new freestyler looking to improve, check the stickys in the help and advice section.
-Send me a personal message if you see spam.

I took psychology  and sociology, it's the reason why coaches scream their asses off at their players. It won't work in an educational scenario, yelling at someone that they're stupid doesn't motivate them to do better.
But, if you fuck up on a play, and your coach calls you out on it, you should be motivated to try harder and save yourself the embarressment of messing up. FS is still a sport...
Imagine a coach yelling at his player "That was good but you shouldn't of fumbled it! Try harder and you'll get better soon!" - they won't say that
they will say
"Why the fuck did you fumble my ball? Did your team fumble the ball?! fuck no they didn't! run a god damn mile and if you fumble that fuckin ball again your ass will be runnin' all day" - motivation.
