That's all fine and dandy, but that's the thing, it's all variations, so the surprise factor won't be present.
I also hope he'll do well, I just think he could've played it a bit smarter.
the problem is, that maybe if he would have shown backflips, handstands, etc,etc he may wouldnt have gone through. Off course he would deserve it, but the judges maybe wouldnt make him pass due to the lack of expactative doing some combos uppers and sits does generate, and because we all know they dont know very much how hard those tricks are.... So in some way, he was intelligent making sure to go through.... You have to look at his expectatives too... maybe he just wanted to participate here for making more people getting started into this sport, maybe his main achievement was just making it to the secod round.. anyways, who know's. The point is that I think you shouldnt criticize him in an aspect you may have no idea.
However, it will be intresting to see what he shows to us in the next round
