Whats next for Jose Mourinho??
« on: Mar 29, 2008, 12:05: AM »

Quote
Jose Mourinho's personal advisor has confirmed the former Chelsea boss has flown to Italy to hold discussions with Inter Milan about becoming the club's manager.

Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes flew to the city yesterday to hold negotiations with Inter chairman Roberto Moratti.

Eladio Parames told PA Sport: 'It is true they are in Italy and will return to Lisbon on Saturday.'

The 44-year-old Portuguese has been linked with a host of European clubs since he left Chelsea in September last year.

And Parames claimed it was Inter who made the initial contact, weeks after current coach Roberto Mancini said he was going to step down only to renege on that decision 24 hours later.

Parames added: 'Of course, it was Inter who contacted Mourinho and his agent, not Mourinho contacting them.

'He [Mourinho] always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure.'

The news comes days after Moratti indicated he was not looking to replace Mancini in the summer despite defeat against Juventus last weekend.

Moratti said: 'I was not furious about the defeat. I continue to believe that this is a winning group. Mancini should be calm, as I do not have any planned meetings with Mourinho.'

Meanwhile, Luis Figo is close to reaching an agreement to extend his stay with the Italian champions, according to the player's agent Miguel Macedo.

'He feels very well in Milan,' Macedo told PA Sport.

'These reports about Mourinho have nothing to do with Luis Figo's interest in staying with Inter. Since Luis joined the club, many good things have happened to him.

'He has a great relationship with Roberto Moratti, who showed interest to keep Luis [Figo] in the club.'
-------------------------

This story on ESPNsoccernet says that he is in Italy having talks with Inter Milan over a possible move. As Manccini is stepping down after this season.

Also I hear that Mourinho has had talks with Morrati and that he has asked for complete control over everything in the managerial side example transfer budgets and the players he wants to get and the ones he wants to get rid off and Morroti refused. I'm not sure how true this is its just word that is circling the streets, I haven't actually seen any official reports yet.

It would be great for Inter if he joined them and strengthened that aging midfield Inter should be a massive force in Europe. I would also love to see him at AC or even Lazio, Sevilla, or Bayern.

Mourinho rubbishes Inter rumours

Jose Mourinho has denied holding talks with Inter Milan over becoming the Serie A leaders' coach next season.
The former Chelsea boss, 44, issued a statement contradicting his own spokesman, who said he had met Inter president Massimo Moratti for talks.

"I say categorically it is not true that I went to Milan, that I met with Massimo Moratti," said Mourinho.

"It is just false to say that I am on the point of signing a contract with Inter Milan."

Mourinho was responding to comments made by his personal advisor, Eladio Parames, who claimed the Portuguese and his agent had travelled to Milan.

"It's true they are in Italy and will return to Lisbon on Saturday," Parames said on Friday.

"Of course, it was Inter who contacted Mourinho and his agent, not Mourinho contacting them.

"He (Mourinho) has always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure."

Inter coach Roberto Mancini, whose contract runs until 2012, announced on 11 March he would be stepping down from the job he has held for four years after his side were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool.

However, the 43-year-old quickly backtracked and stated his desire to stay the following day.

Interesting, Inter would have been a realistic next team for him. That still leaves AC Milan and Bayern Munich seeing as Hetsfield is stepping down after this season.

Agree on that, think that he'll be their manager next year.

i think it will either be inter or ac milan. inter need a new coach since mancini is stepping down and ac milan also need a new one since ancelotti is fallingout of favour with the club.

Quote from: Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho has categorically denied rumours suggesting he has met with Internazionale about succeeding Roberto Mancini.

The former Chelsea boss was thought to be in talks with the Serie A champions about taking over at the end of the season, but the Portuguese has told an agency in his homeland that there is no truth in the reports.

A statement issued to Lusa said: "I say categorically that it is not true that I went to Milan, that I met with (Inter president) Massimo Moratti, who I do not have the pleasure of knowing personally.

"It is false to say that I am on the point of agreeing a contract with Inter Milan."

Mourinho has been out of work since leaving Stamford Bridge at the start of the season.
