After the purchase of Andriy Shevchenko two years ago, many fans would have thought that the Chelsea board would realize buying washed up stars will not take the team forward. But, this morning’s Mail on Sunday reported that Chelsea are considering a bid to bring Portuguese midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

It is reported that Deco would cost Chelsea about £15 million should they manage to fend off interest from Inter Milan. The Barcelona midfielder was told he can leave the Catalan club as they will be looking to rebuild their squad. He will now consider offers from some of Europe’s top clubs.

Should he prefer to move to Chelsea - like the English press is predicting - then the way would be cleared for Frank Lampard to move to Inter Milan. The England midfielder is rumoured to be one of Mourinho’s top targets and given that his contract will run out next summer, he might be able to make this move should Chelsea bring in a replacement.

Switzerland captain Alexander Frei claims Celtic have resurrected their interest in signing him.

Chelsea is allowing AC Milan to talk to Drogba. I still can't believe this. How can they want to let go of their best striker?
