I think its a bit rich to say that by living in Honduras you won't learn much about football i mean it is pretty important over there, if memory serves me correctly they even started a war with El Salvador on the pretense of a football match.

i wonder how many great players come from families and cities with practically nothing.

or wait, i'm sure they are all able to go to the stadium every weekend or play abroad. you know, this characterizes them and gives them knowledge. I'm sure will Adriano was in brasilian slums, he got his knowledge from the stadiums and the BBC broadcasters

Oh no, what a crap argument. Some people have a freak gift but remember people like that, if they are from the slums, come from football countries...not Honduras. They will also have proper clubs near by which they can go and watch. In Honduras you have to go by what you read on forums (which could mean reading points by people like you...WOW) and catching the odd game on FSC. Maybe occasionally people can be a exemption to my thinking but for the most part, countries like Honduras produce people like you unfortunately.

unfortunately for you, you've said something that will not help you advance in this argument. by saying this, i'm assuming you mean 3rd world countries, countries in africa and central and some of south america...

..better known as poorer countries; however, you fail to realize that the sport is much more meaningful in these countries. you see, in england or spain, the sport is a business. it is all about money, and money is what allows such talented players to play in these countries. basically, if it weren't for the incredible influx of foreigners to the BPL, the league would be nothing but a bunch of English players who would fail to entertain the world.

in other words, you actually know less about what the sport means being from a rich country. you may think you are tactically sound and what not, and maybe you are, but in terms of passion for the sport and having a true meaning for the game, you know absolutely nothing compared to the children that see it as a way out of a life of violence and drugs.

next time you take a fancy vacation to a nice, big stadium, just remember how lucky you actually are. because in reality, you know don't know shit.

I didn't say the poorer countries. I said countries like Honduras. By this I mean countries which don't have real football leagues and real football clubs. Argentina, Brazil...loads of poverty but football is everything to them. There is no way this is the case in Honduras. If you grow up there you get no connection with real football at the top level. You haven't really understood have ya? Ahh, bless ya.

Bunch of English players that fail to entertain the world? What about the 70's and 80's (before the influx of foreign players) when Liverpool, Notts Forest and Aston Villa dominated the European game? Please, think...before you speak.

Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figueroa came straight from the Honduras league (Olimpia i think)
to the premiership and did so well... Palacios in particular raped gerrard against Liverpool, and was probably in the top 5 centre mids last season with Wigan...
Furthermore, im sure a lot of "average" Honduran players are much more skillfull and technically gifted than British "Wonderkids"....

Honduras actually does have a professional league, which means it does have some structure at the club level

but, clearly, you can't give leagues like that any credence, even though players like Amado Guevara have come out of them

And the New York Cosmos would have raped Liverpool or any of those other teams in the 70s

It is a business, but not only a business.

Not everyone in Britain is born into wealth, albeit being poor in Britain is a lot different to being poor in third world countries, but for some its still away out of violence and drugs too.

By this I mean countries which don't have real football leagues and real football clubs.

you're on the outside looking in, and always will be. why don't you go spend some of your time in the third world? would you get your feet too dirty?

You sound legitimately dumber and dumber each time you post something. I can't really take anything you say seriously. Real? If Honduras had Kaka, Ronaldo, Tevez, etc. then would they be real? In other words, if they could afford such players, then they would be real.

You have absolutely no backing for the amount of stupidity that you are posting. You are claiming that third world countries do not have "real" club systems, although I am almost certain that Club Olympia and Marathon do exist. Christ, isn't it funny how the best teams in England barely have any English players on them? And the clubs that do, like Bristol Rovers or some shit, would probably play on par with teams from the countries that you claim have no real leagues.

Your real league is based on people like me, my friend, not people like you. :hello:

Hahaha. Hold on, sonny. Don't get your nickers in a twist. Am I right in saying you think you know about football than me? And that in general that people from Honduras know more about football than English and Spanish people? Mmmmmm. You're not looking at the whole pie, crap name. I am sure that there are a few people in Honduras who know the game well but for the most part it is very hard for people in that country to gain a real sense of knowledge about the game. This is a fact.  You need to calm yourself down, steamhead.
