Euro 2008 suprise package

Since arriving home in England I have been reading the newspapers coverage of the upcoming tournament. Many papers are backing Romania to cause an upset which is interesting. They are in a tough group but have a couple of genuine world class players in Chivu and Mutu. Mutu for the golden boot maybe, if they can make it out of the group??

i was thinking of romania too my friends have all wrote them off to not qualifying but they still have a good team. Rat is a good defender too.

i think croatia could get far its unpredictable this tournment just like 04 when greece won.

Romania will be interesting indeed. I wanna see Ciprian Marica in action, the new Haghi ;O
I dont see Croatia as a surprise as they have been very good for a long time. Remember WC 98, bronze.

I had them as the surprise package also. But I don't think they can make it out of this group. France and Italy will scrape out of this group. All depends on the first games. For Romania and Netherlands. Because Italy and France will most probably draw when they meet. Look out for Turkey and Russia tho.
