When the ball is a bit wet or you're sweaty, the ball grips really good. Good for the summer. :biggrin:

Isn't it a official monta ball they're going to use ? I've seen the black streetmatch ball, the red freestyler, a blue/black monta replica ball, in all different RBSS countries.

The ball isn't that bad once you get used to it, but it's different than the normal (Shinji) ball, even Palle and Daniel agreed on that. It feels smaller (like a size 4), it's made from the same material like the Streetmatch ball (denim), so it's slippery when it's brand new and it's lighter than the Shinji ball.
Overall, it's not that bad once you get used to it (which doesn't take that much, maybe some 30 minutes), but they could've done a better job with it.

you know i have injury too. before RBSS i practise in my room ,i kicked my chair in when i was doing a new shit, and i had pain in my toe. So its too hard to do good things in the batttles.
RBSS is the best day in the year for all hungarian fser i think and i hope that all fser enjoyed it who came from another country. peace

i checked ....its the same ball , but a different manufacturer. Its the same size, but has a slighty different feeling to it since its made in new factory. They dumped the old one , since it took 6months to deliver balls :)
but like usual , well get used to it ....

I didn't say it was a size, but that it FELT like a size 4. Maybe it was because that ball wasn't pumped up enough, maybe because I usually freestyle with my Adidas balls.
Anyways, I don't know what's all the fuss about. When Monta came out, all of you were ready to sell your parents just to get a Monta ball and now you're talking about the same ball like it's something that's impossible to freestyle with. The same thing happened last year with the F50 ball and now everyone's using it!
I think that RBSS Hungary proved that if you've got skill, it doesn't matter which ball you use. :booty:

If you are a good freestyler then you should be able to freestyle with it no problems.
I would understand if people were having problems with it. But look at hungarian rbss didn't affect the freestylers in any way.

I'd rather have a size 5 adidas ball or the one from last year, but i don't think it would hurt anyone to use the montaball. You only have to use it in the comp, not the rest of your life.

reason is that they changed producer of the ball. it was supose to be the same as the red. but in my opinion they totaly failed!

i compared it to many balls and its not size 4 or 3 or 3.5 etc the closest thing is 4.5
i never said it was the same as the red, i said the difference is the weight, maybe the texture, but im not sure about that. the size is the same since i held them up rite next to each other.

Yes, it does say "SIZE 4.5" on the RBSS Monta ball, but we had both the RBSS and the old Red Shinji ball at the meet in Amsterdam and whoever I talked to, they said the RBSS feels smaller. Another example, both the Europass and F50 balls are size 5, but the F50 is slightly smaller...

The RBSS ball is definetaly smaller than the normal red monta ball, and different texture, and lighter.... It's really unfair on competitors that we will have basically ZERO time to adapt to the ball, maybe 2 hours before the event starts... Its retarded, practising the whole year with ball, getting used to it, and then when it really counts in a competition, being forced to use not only a different ball, but an extreeeeeeemely different ball

yes they have very good grip !!! espically the new 1z in the the rb will always use a new monta ball !! there best pump up really hard and dnt try to get the ball wet becuz it can become very heavy and wont dry out ofr hours

the ball dont have verry good grip, but the grip is stable, so it doesnt slip if you get some dirt on it, or if it gets wet.
thats the problem with the plastic balls, they slip verry easy caused of water or dirt...
so for this reason the monta ball is good... :thumbsup:
