Title: Prior to match preparation
Post by: Finnery on Mar 02, 2008, 06:12: PM
What does everyone do the day(s)/hours before a match to prepare? For example diet, games to get you going, time.

How interesting, I usually get up at least 2 hours before, If I have lunch because its a late match I will eat pasta with a sauce and then a snack like a chocolate bar or something for carbs. but I usually have pasta the day before also. I usually do some homework and crap to get it out the way before the match, also gets your brain going so you're not still asleep. I usually go down an hour/half an hour before the meet time with some other players to practice a bit and just because we have nothing better to do ;)

Tuna and an energy drink was the best combination before games.

Yah, I usually have a lucozade just before and at half time. tuna is primarily protein, not carbs, so dont really know.

For soccer I just do juggles and some runs. Play around a bit. Stretches.

For hockey, well.. hehe, I run up and down my stairs to get the blood flowing, and I eat pasta, and the most important thing, drink water, lots of water. Water helps to keep you hydrated so you won't get cramps and will last longer out there without getting tired. At the rink, I do runs with my team and then we stretch.

i try to eat something good, like pasta. and drink water. and shit and piss 10 times. and pray aswell. but i always feel nervous even though if its a worthless match :S
i really HATE the hours u spend before a game, worst ever. i cant do anything before a match, im like a wall.
but that feeling ends when the refree blows his pipe for the game to begin.
