because it actually works; there are areas where i won't dare speed in, because i don't feel like paying $130 again
because if people decide to keep speeding and keep crashing, then a system that will never fail will inevitably slow them down

You're a pussy then. Go slow and speed right after you've past the line. Cops aren't posted at the cameras. Where I live people do just that. Cameras don't work and could be spent on education and more on social services. Drunk people crash more than sober people speeding. It doesn't work where I live. You must live in obedienceville, Utah or some shit.
Cops are more lenient and forgiving than a camera that catches you going 7 mph over the speed limit.

i've learned my lessons from speeding. i got into a wreck that could've been a lot more serious than it was. so next time you want to look cool, or if your late, just remember that it's better to be late than to never arrive at all.

Good points. I speed cause I don't pay attention to it. I do pay attention to the road, I always use my blinkers, but I never really care if I'm speeding or not. If I see a cop or have reasons to believe that there's going to be one, I slow down rapidly. xD

My brother got caught speeding by cameras twice on the same trip trying to get home in time to watch the FA Cup final a few years ago Liverpool - Westham was an amazing game too but with a £60 fine he could have driven to the stadium and watched the game instead.

basically, i quit speeding, and i don't give a shit where i am or what time of day it is. it can only cause problems you know? even if you are in the middle of the night, going 40. because you never know what kind of pothole or what kind of whatever you can hit if you decide to go 60. it's just a precaution. and i think it's one everyone should follow for the safety of everyone.
