Title: The bushfires in Victoria
Post by: oLi on Feb 11, 2009, 09:47: PM
Any news on it? It was on the headlines of Swedish newspapers 2 days in a row but today I read nothing about it.
Also I'm surprised nobody else has done a thread on it considering how many inhabitants of Australia there is on this forum, but that's not important..

I'm on fire as we speak.

No really its terrible nearly 200 deaths. Its getting out of hand really.

Death penalty should be put into place for any arsonists caught.

Been a few fires burning around my area and I live in the city.  :saywhat:

Yeah man, it is horrible. I do not live near there, but it is all over the news and papers. It is so sad, and I feel for the poor people and families who have suffered because of this. The asshole who lit this fire, man I wanna fucking kill him. He has destroyed so many lives....But then again, you never know, it coulda just been some kid playing with matches or smokebombs, or someone left some glass or a deoderant can in the sun, but if this was intentional, that guys a dick.

Hope you'll be OK elias.

Should we just think of and preserve the rights of the murderer and not think of the rights of others?

theres a reason that we dont usecapital punishment. what makes this case any different from any case around the world when many people were killed and you feel this deserves an exception.

dont let ur emotions control u, u have to control urself. animals cant control themselves, but humans can. (unless im mistaken about animals, but i highly doubt it)

Eye for an eye. Revenge is something that must be taken, unless you forgive the person.

I would never stop someone from taking revenge, because I know what its like to want revenge and not be able to get it immediately.

If someone was taking revenge on someone I wouldn't step in as long as he did it in a reasonable manner, nothing cowardly.
