ST KILDA HIT BY A FREESTYLE FRENZI

Sunday February 9 represented a historic day in Freestyle Football in Australia with the staging a the very 1st competition ever staged in this country

Freestyle Football, the art of juggling with a football, made its stunning debut this year at the Iconic St.Kilda Festival amongst much hype and the aptly named FreestyleFootball.com.au Frenzi did not disappoint the big crowds that turned up to witness history in the making.

Freestyle Football creator Paul Harvey was a very proud man after the event "This event today was a culmination of months of hard work and I'm so proud of my Trick Star Team here today, who as we speak are sitting exhausted, but happy in the Marquee. They have tricked there hearts out there today and really it couldn't have gone any better. The sun even came out for Main Event."

The main event he is talking about was the staging of the Trick Star Australian Championship, which had a huge crowd show up along with MTV cameras. The competition between the Trick Star Pro's was intense and after the qualifying battles, the unique judging format (in which the crowd also helps decide the winner)  decided that AZN FS, from Melbourne and Bevs, from Newcastle would battle it out for the Title. Freestyle Football is all about 'the show' and boy did AZN FS put on one hell of a show to take down Bevs and score the cheers from the partisan Melbourne crowd plus the all important bragging rights as Australian Number 1.

Earlier in the day the Trick Star Amateur Titles were also decided with Curtis FS making his trip from Queensland so worthwhile, by taking home the AM Crown and at only 14 years of age the future of Freestyle Football in this country looks very bright indeed.

The Trick Star Freestyle Show Team (a show combining Freestyle Football with Break and Hip Hop dancing) is also now compete. The two female faces/dancers of the Trick Star Team are 18 year old 'Lil Jess' who took home the Diva Search and 19 year old runner up and best friend 'Lollie' with the Team completed by the two spectacular Ball Breakers in B-boy Billy and Squirrel.

The Trick Star Freestyle Football Team now move on to more shows around the country, with another 10 locked in for February alone. To find out where they are at log onto www.freestylefootball.com.au
