his punching + kicking technique makes me wnna smack him upside the head...if he drops the knife...people...if you get into a fight, do NOT fight like that. Its all about submission and elbow strikes...

Looks funny and basic I laughed the whole way through but this shit could save you from a serious beating.

Its funny how he distracts his opponent at the start then strikes, I did that last time I broke the guys nose instead of silting his throat like he did. It works.

roflrofl
this guy fights like a pussy, he slaps people with his wrist when fighting, he knees people in there cock, gosh. Yeah he could own the fuck out of me, but he fights dirty. Also, see all those techniques he was talking about in the first video, he hardly used any in real fights, because the opponents doesnt let him like the demonstrator in the first one did, but thats not to say he's an amazing fighter.

Real fights?  Pancrase has rules and restrictions.  In a street fight, he'd utilize every one of the techniques that he demonstrated.

Slaps with his wrist?  You can't hit close fisted in Pancrase.

To show you how rules determine how he (and anyone else) would fight in a sanctioned match:

Shit, he doesn't fight with an open fist anymore.

An amazing fighter?  Yeah, former UFC heavyweight champion who had to withdraw due to injuries sustained during training.

Why is it french?
I hated/hate films like that where it's obvious that the people getting owned are just jumping when they get 'punched' and they go down so easy etc.

also when i did aikido, and im sure its like this for other styles, is that they teach you how to fall and not get hurt, in aikido they taught us how to roll, so if we were thrown down to the ground or wateva, we could roll in such a way that we wouldnt hurt ourselves. So in martial art movies if you see another karate guy roll on the ground after his just been thrown thats why.

And Bruce Lee wasnt a fake, definatly a martial arts legend

that's true too.  but also, old movies are just bad for that kinda stuff too... hahaha.

yeah its called a break fall, but thats not what Im getting at, I don't care if its old, the earths gravitational pull hasn't changed since then so they shouldnt be flying all over the place from one punch, yeah bruce lee was amazing, I just hate films that over exagerate so highly.

you fuckin tard, you have to understand that the way we make films have changed since then.  get that thru ur stupid head.  most old movies look cheesy by today's standards in terms of how they shot them.

and btw that muay thai fighter looks fuckin DANGEROUS!  but he looks small.  what weight division is he?
Title: Re: Martial Arts
Post by: Jono on Feb 22, 2008, 03:25: PM
Yeah your right he does look small, his weight division is "welter weight", and weighs around 64kg. Some of the best fighters are rarely over 150 pounds though, i guess its in the genes if ur gonna be a big guy like foreman, or someone smaller like micky mouse

This is a cool muay thai presentation, also has grappling in it (jui jutsu). The lil kids are crazy
