Title: Carlos Tevez
Post by: ^_^ on Jan 03, 2009, 06:17: AM
So Carlos Tevez apparently has a "cloudy" future or some shit at United. So it's leaving me to think that the arrival of Berbatov has caused this. I think it's utter bullshit because Berbatov isn't as good as Tevez, and Tevez has seen a lot of the bench this year because of him.

Who is better?

I voted for Tevez because he scored United's late goals and game winners. His work rate is a lot better than Berbatov's in my eyes. I still don't see what Berbatov has done yet, I simply don't like him. Meanwhile, Tevez adds spark to the squad and he really shows he wants to be on the pitch. Berbatov looks so fucking lazy sometimes.

Tevez, stay!

I've been trying to tell you this for years! Berbatov really does look terribly lazy at times.

Tevez is better than Berbatov simply because of attitude difference and psychology. Tevez works for every ball. Berbatov doesn't. I think Tevez should be playing most of the game for pressure and Berbatov should come in maybe late in the second half when United are pushing for a goal.

My thoughts...

no they aren't
fine, my thoughts as well as the thoughts of others.

But I still do possess these thoughts, which is why they are fundamentally mine, although others may have them as well.

Clear?

i think the better question is who do you think is a better partner for rooney? the reason berbatov plays instead of tevez is that he provides a more true striker type than tevez for rooney to play off of. it helps rooney having berba on the field opposed to tevez.  united will never sell rooney, so it is possible that they would give up tevez for berba. my personal opinion is that tevez could easily be the best player of the three, but it is very close. the only thing i can be sure of is that united are more interested in the best strike partner for rooney, and berba is a better partner than tevez because of the role he plays.

i agree with all of that. tevez is easily more skilful than rooney, and definitely works just as hard or harder. it's a shame, though, that tevez will have to leave the club because rooney is too much of a talisman to give up and that berbatov compliments rooney (and/or tevez).

The question we all need to be asking is why is Rooney still on the field when there are two better strikers available.  :saywhat:

Tevez. he definitely needs to be there coz he pwns with Ronaldo and Rooney at his side
and he really works for the ball, he's a beast

Anyone watch the game today? Berbatov looked really good, better than normal. It just looked too easy for him, but he still had that lazy look. He didn't move fast, but he made terrific passes and through balls! It was against Southampton, if he can play that calmly and smoothly against Chelsea next weekend then we shall see..

exactly. he thinks he's good enough to just play as if he didn't care, or as if he should be at another level. calm down berbatov, you aren't even one of the top 10 strikers in the world

Berbatov has the best touch I've ever seen. Watch videos of him with Tottenham or Leverkusen and he is pure class. A whiny bitch, but still pure class.

he can act as a Center type guy as in
just stands around and when he gets the ball he looks for a throughball or shoot from outside the box but he must be always open for that which will need some movement

He did that quite a lot today, and he did it well. He set up so many players, and in particular, he gave a nice flick to Nani right around his defender. He's not that bad, but the way he plays, he just looks motionless, it's weird.

its not about the look, its about the impact.
the was great with Keane and i came see him do well with Man U but you must play the man the place he wants

Gallas is wearing the armband so that gives you a clue of the time range
but i'm guessing it was the game before Gallas got stripped
