Even though I usually freestyle when I feel like doin so but scheduled training pays off better thn just training for fun. There are some tricks u can't master unless u practise on daily basis such as stall tricks .. u can't master head stall if ur practising it once per week

I alternate the way I train too.
some days I go back to basics like just a simple atw then juggle then another atw. or just juggle when doing sitdowns
other days I try to accomplish new moves like tatw-amatw (nt) and shit.

It's a complicated thing. Practice is how you get good but if you don't take rest you'll not improve that much. Practice every day, you rest when you don't freestyle.

When you practice you're "breaking" your muscles. When you rest they grow back but put on some extra. The resting is the reason you grow so a guy who practice all day might not be better than one that practices 3 hours.

why not?? what august said is completly correct...... but it depends in wich intensiti and lenght you are practising....

Its not the same to train 3 hors a day with a lot of intensity than 20 minutes a day with less intensity.... In case of your cousin he sure trains with intensity and he didnt grow up completly yet...that is why you take reast's....
my uncle started going to the gym when he was 12-13 years old and he went there to push his muscles to the limit and went 5days a week 3 hours a day (was part of the training he need to do for soccer, sport in wich he became pro).... but the problem is that he is now only 1.60  meters high, and he could have grown to 1.80 - 1.85 like his brother.....

thats only if your concerned about building strength and stamina... most aspects of freestyle are skill related components, so your mind needs to adjust and adapt to the new skills you are learning such as balance, coordination etc...

so doing 20 plus combos and 30 plus atws doesnt involve stamina?

it does, that is why i said "only if your concerned about building strength and stamina"... so you can still freestyle all day long if you want to work on other areas of your freestyle such as stall tricks... but if you want to improve your fitness thats a different story... just making sure people understand the difference between the two =)

Actually your both right, lifting weights only stunts your growth if you are not fairly developed like pre teen I suppose it varies between people. But Lifting weights doesn't stunt your growth when your mature enough to do them, its more likely to develop your growth and muscle mass through a proper and smart training regime of course. I'd say most users here would benefit from lifting weights instead of avoiding them.

exactly man!! that was I was sayaing.... my uncle was 12 years old when he started.... tht means not enough mature....
Im 15,  im only 167 cm....and I can still grow 10-15 cm more.... that is why alot of people (experienced) tell me to not push my strenght to the limit while im in the gym and + the expirence of my uncle, I decided to follow that rule.... but ive got friends of my same age who are like 180 - 185 and they can lift whatever they want... no matter how much they are pushiing their muscles to the limit, cuz they have almost reached their completly maturation....

i disagree, of course training is the only way to improve... but i think natural ability will affect how fast you improve, some people just learn things better than others

How i look at it when i see a video of skora or azun, i dont go wow, thats incredible, I go they have praticed more than me, put in more efforct, thats why there way better, thats whats helped me improve alot recently, theres no trick to this sport, theres no naturals, its just who pratices the most, who puts in the most efforct will be the best, simple logic.

i disagree, of course training is the only way to improve... but i think natural ability will affect how fast you improve, some people just learn things better than others
wat do u mean? some ppl r born beter than others?

i think its all up 2 how much and how u train.

just like everything else in life some people are just better than others...

for example, some people will take just a day to learn to play a song on piano, others will practice for weeks to learn it... freestyle is no different, some just learn quicker... try teaching a retard how to freestyle

personally i think youre both right  cos i think you do need the abilty  for when youre starting freestyle and the other thing is
that when youve learned all the trick and youre getting better the more pysical side comes on then and you have to change thing s around

I freestyle when I want to. I train normal soccer skills two times a week and I play one match a week. I also do back, leg and stomach exercises.

Sometimes I'm training 15 hours a week, sometimes only 5 hours
