I just got the new iPod touch 2G, I highly recommend it, the internets great and really usable, some awesome games for it, the music qualitys amazing, you can watch porn on it, can watch youtube/videos, can post on forums.
A few disadvantages of it:
Battery life goes down quite quickly if you use applications a lot, but the music lasts for 36 hours or something, its not a big issue.
The back gets scratched very easily, so buy a case with it.
I would definitely recommend getting one if you think you will use it.

Thanks. How is the use of storing things on it? I believe you can use it as a USB and store any file on it, that's pretty convenient.
Also, is it easy to put in custom applications?

Umm instead of the ipod Touch i would recommend an Archos i think they are slightly more expensive but they are most certainly better in most ways :) either https://store.archos.com/product_info.php?id=76 (https://store.archos.com/product_info.php?id=76) or https://store.archos.com/product_info.php?id=59 (https://store.archos.com/product_info.php?id=59).
Oh and im just assuming your american.
-
My friend has an archos, I would say for mp3 they suck, but for videos they're great, the internet is also worse on the archos, my friend has the archos 705wifi so I have an honest view of both of them. overall I would say the ipod touch beats it hands down.
Borg, you cannot just use them as usb sticks, itunes needs to be installed and without it all you can do is transfer files like photos off of the ipod. There is an application where you can transfer files between the device and your computer by the network, and can access most files like word files and excel on the ipod which is great, but this requires you to access the network and know the ip address and stuff.

Okay thanks for the heads up!
